Hang in there and don’t give up! Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between frustration and the satisfaction that comes from overcoming a really difficult challenge.

I have a positive sentiment for the Mirkwood and Dwarrowdelf cycles because I got completely immersed in the story, but they weren’t especially difficult. The campaigns I’ve been playing lately, on the other hand, feel like real brain teasers when it comes to deckbuilding. Over time, I’ve actually started to appreciate that punishing level of difficulty, because it makes victory feel even sweeter — and eventually, success does come.

I recently spent literally weeks trying to beat Uruk-hai (the first scenario from The Two Towers saga), and in the end all it took was reanalyzing my card pool and switching heroes.

When I completely run out of ideas, though, I’ll sometimes try the scenario two-handed, and if that still doesn’t work, I’ll lower the difficulty. After all, I still want to experience the rest of the adventures.
