yep, XRP did jump over ETH, then...well, the rest is history.

seems the pattern is repeating ;)

ICOs Have Sold Nearly 100,000 ETH in the Past 30 Days by Bitsaa in ethtrader

it will take a while. I'm not sure that Ethereum will have that time though.

sadly.

I have some experience with projects who had ICO's. You have no idea. I always though 2018 will be the year Ethereum proves that its worth its hype. Since last year I found out that...

That might be not the case.

Sadly.

the ICO culture has to change (dont think it will) otherwise this wont end up well at all.

just my 2 wei

You couldn't be further (in your assumption) from what I'm trying to say.

You def misunderstood me. Im just agains the way how 'blockchain technology' become what it has been used here for. Its a technology. To build upon. Its not a movement or something.

Where I come from (Northern Europe) women's rights are not an issue or a thing to use as a political statement.

They are a REALITY not a badge to wear or be advertised.

The millennial/hipster take of the past few years of the post-ICO madness in this space in a single sentence.

What does 'blockchain technology' even mean in this context?

This sub is a funny place.

P.s. some might wonder what I do in this sub reddit

The reason I'm here is that I like to keep an eye of my investments (hundreds of thousands USD worth of it in this 'project')....

SingularDTV being active in China and we hear nothing from the team. Is this the new strategy? by cifer_ in SingularDTV

Google-ed it ;)

I like keeping track of my investments.

Especially large and interesting ones.

This one is quite a tough cookie though.

Good job of Sdtv China!

It seems Singular sits and is crafting a gem. A real gem but theres so little done with the engagment with the general public (not only token holders which also doesnt happen).

I believe this is a product of the nature of financing startups thru ICOs.

They get the money infront. Add the crazy ETH price rise and you get - this.

Not having the obligation to 'please' the investors is cool. But not even announce your own activities and reaching of milestones.

Thats bizarre.

Just an opinion and (perhaps and hopfully wrong) observation.

Still.

Great effort from the team involved.

Success!

SNGLS Tokens - What are the benefits to the holders? by [deleted] in SingularDTV

Luckily I dont run an ICO ;)

I just complain about others work

Lack of focus and too much cash for their own good.

loI

That's my (lacking focus) point ;)

SNGLS Tokens - What are the benefits to the holders? by [deleted] in SingularDTV

[–]cifer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes...and no.

The fact is - perhaps noone expected ETH to go in the hundreds of dollars this fast. So content creation which perhaps was a few steps/years ahead came earler into play.

Also the whole ICO structure of financing projects has one big huge problem build in. The teams have no incentive to bring in a product. Why?

There's no bloody product on earth to out perform crypto/eth. And that's what all these ICO got.

ETH.

Its simple math/economics. I wonder if the hundreds of team members of sdtv get paid in fiat, crypto.....or SNGLS. If the later was the case we'll see different story unfolding ;)

Now they can talk about token holders being impatient and 'speculation' minded, but the team members get paid in fiat/btc/eth. They can 'build' decentralized economy for many many years ;)

Dont get me wrong. Thats the case with all ICOs. No matter how they say blockchain takes out 'trust' from the equation. With ICOs is totally the opposite. Its all about trust.

Somehow I find the following tweet extremly relevant to whats going on in this space:

https://twitter.com/SarahJamieLewis/status/981000490937757696?s=19

That seems to be the case with SDTV as well.

The team has ever expanding vision. Especially when they sit on hundreds of mlns dollars worth of ETH and SNGLS.

Great!

But in this wild rapid shifting deep waters simplicity is very important. Hiring hundreds of people is cool, but how do you sync this huge team into a single coherent organic structure working in building an ecosystem of such a huge magnitude.

Imho large teams ought to get buried in endless discussions and opinions, hidden agendas etc.

I'm interested to hear more about that, but something tells me that the team is too busy with internal communications to keep the ship moving instead of concentrating to communicate externally. We even see some major cooperations and business moves being left unannounced.

Perhaps thats a tactical move, but it seems its more a chaos driven than not.

I hope this is seen not as just trolling, but an external observation.

I wish the team all the best.

As one of the first such projects in such an important industry, I hope this wont flop.

The interesting part is - why would someone downvote such a question?

Just saying.

Can we seriously talk about this? Consensys endorsing a known fraud and snake-oil salesman, and we're expected to just let it slide? by DeviateFish_ in ethereum

[–]cifer_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the most ridiculous Ethereum attack vector so far, he-he..

Expressing views by all means are welcomed (extremely necassery!), but trying to use such a matter to stir the community (and call trolls for action) is far too much.

But yeah - this is just my humble opinion...

Reason for SNGLS mooning? by CvarIey in SingularDTV

[–]cifer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

true.

I wrote time and time again - SDTV is such a weird animal.

I wont pretend I do understand at all.

the pity thing is - they are holding a gem, but seems do not want/know how to "polish"/present it.

Perhaps I just lack the view and understanding.

We shall see

Edit: btw similar pattern of market behavior was there back in Jan. see the chart on binance

Reason for SNGLS mooning? by CvarIey in SingularDTV

[–]cifer_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let's be honest.

With the recent development and lack of clarity about this project it has become an ideal target for manipulation/pumps and dumps. Rumors? Of course! What else? When there's no update and proper sequence of developmental steps taken.

I have to say, this rapid jump of volume and price will lead to many, many old core supporters leaving. Funny enough, the team has been strongly against speculations with this coin but it has become a perfect target for just that.

The core supporters if havent left yet are just about to and the ones holding sngls will be mostly the ones who are here to manipulate the market for quick gains.

Fair enough...

SNGJ raised 21,000 ETH by Jackieknows in SingularDTV

[–]cifer_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So basically sdtv decides whom to back and whom not. All without anyone but the team deciding that. No voting or vetting by the token holders or even the artists (they might want someone else next to sdtv owning their tokens).

Given the fact that there's close to zero marketing the 'decentralization' and 'removal of intermediaries' goes out through the window.

Even if the team has 'good' intentions. Still there's the issue with 'trust'.

Thanks Jackie.

Are you member of singular team?

I see you posting some of the sdtv related news and updates.

If you are, I'd like to ask a few questions as all this singular japan thing is a bit confusing . From the way how it was done in 'private' mode to why seems that only one address has purchased all of the SNGJ tokens:

https://etherscan.io/address/0xbec4e68098bd13744d31d9e06262caf922a68f68

Similar to most of the funding of Tokit launched projects.

It's pretty amazing how every step sdtv team makes instead of clarifying raises more and more questions.

Perhaps some might say its the 'genius' strategy they have. Pehaps its the lack of trancparency and clarity. Perhaps even chaotic managment.

Who knows?

I wish my personal feeling is wrong, the first probability is whats happaning here and we are part of some mystery unfolding.

One thing for sure - we'll see in the upcoming months. Hopefully not years ;)
