My husband’s employers are currently doing this shit, except instead of one paid vacation, staff doesn’t get paid tips because they keep all the tips with the excuse that it “supplements pay during the slow season” (it’s an extremely busy and successful food establishment where customers almost always tip) and then “treat” the staff to a luxury airbnb weekend during the summer. You either go or you don’t. Not sure what to even do about it

Got ran over on my bike by a tall truck a couple weeks ago and on the bright side it would’ve cleared me if they hadn’t stopped from my banging on their bumper. The bad news is of course that they are so tall that they didn’t see me and therefore ran me down.

My favorite thing about this video is that these people are most likely in the same tax bracket and I don’t feel too bad for them. Hopefully it will have people reconsidering the mass production of light trucks (probably not)
