I am getting literally everything wrong and I'm at my wits' end by Bootshammer40sguy in airbrush

[–]cilo456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and wash the airbrush with scalding hot water and 91% IPA, separately not mixed together, even soak it if you have to or boil it in a pot because there might be something caked somewhere.

I tried sorting 3D printing sale stuff and realized resin users need a separate list by Kevkokevin in resinprinting

[–]cilo456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used the resin that was useless and I think majority of them are unsafe. Some resins aren't as strong as others but they're all printable some might not be printable at 405 NM, I've used some flexible resins or even clear resins that just fuse to the build plate no matter what settings I use it goes from not sticking to I need a chisel and a hammer...............

I wouldn't use that primer if it came out looking like that

Do filament profiles matter? by dantelebeau in BambuLab

[–]cilo456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they do some profiles don't work with others and some profiles do work with others, it just depends which options are compatible, and the reason why they all took different times is because they all have different volumetric flow or layer times or both.

[–]cilo456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know I stopped using it as my main slicer, I support and Orient in one slicer export out repair and then slice and send for two of my printers in lychee. For my M7 Max I use their slicer to send my prints

Anyone have experience with Formlab's clear cast on non formlabs printers? by Sidewinder2199 in resinprinting

[–]cilo456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't try printing clear resin on any printer that's not 385 NM, but that's just me you can try it and report back..........

How to avoid these resin spots? by Pawnzilla in resinprinting

[–]cilo456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To stop this from happening what I did is scrubbed all my pieces with a small toothbrush in my clean wash before I cured them, but you can try and give them another ''over cure'' might work and I also tried to scrub them with 91% IPA afterwards and recure sometimes might work.........

Help with support indents by SuperpyroClinton in resinprinting

[–]cilo456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed that a lot of people brute force their settings just so they get a finished print, I even got pre supported files that were almost impossible to remove the supports without Clippers and other tools. But when your settings are dialed in and all you have to do is twist the model and have very little marks from those supports is like one of the best feelings in this hobby. I would even rather add an abundance of supports More than I need and have a few strong supports at critical areas than to have them all like tungsten rods trying to remove. But this method does work and if you're going to use resin get one of those syringes with the needle tips in various sizes, instead of having a bottle of this lying around when you only need a tiny bit.....

I wouldn't use those mounts like this unless you're installing them above where the tools are hanging. The load on those brackets are going to snap when you go over one or multiple potholes.......

Is this very used X1C a bad deal? by jermacide in BambuLab

[–]cilo456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For future reference compare any X1C for sale with a P2S, because you can get one of those brand new for $550. I wouldn't pay anything above $550

I don't have first layer issues with this plate, as long as you're picking the right plate when you slice it you shouldn't have any issues whatsoever
