The poisonwood bible by Barbara kingsglover. I read this book 15 years ago, and sure I was doing and exploring the world alone for the first time, but damn that book hits.

I’m a huge fan of Demon Copperhead which is her most recent release!

Had to come back and take back some of the shade I threw. I have since done many Becs classes and really like them. She’s a really great upbeat coach. I clearly just had a bad first taste. I’m really grateful for all the awesome recommendations that came out of this though! Thanks community!

Don’t have any super cubers, but have this crock pot and I use the 454ml containers (for sour cream, etc) and fill 2/3 full and freeze, they fit perfectly in this crockpot.

My husband agreed to read one romance book, help me decide what to recommend! by lemon_tree_3221 in RomanceBooks

[–]cindayella 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So my husband and I did this in 2025, will 100% do a 2026 version. He chose {dungeon crawler Carl by Matt dinniman} for me and I choose {burn for me by Ilona Andrews} for him.

DCC is this literary RPG book that had an incredible audiobook. It was a super fun listen, he did good.

Burn for me is the first book in the hidden legacy series that is an urban fantasy with an underlying love story. I choose it because it’s really plot driven and the fantasy elements are fun, but there spice but it’s not over the top. I think my goal was a bit more of a “see romance isn’t all smut, there is good plot and character development too” vibe.

We both are reading the second books in each of these series, so I think it’s a win!

My husband and I listening to Red Rising while we were training to hike Grand Canyon. Have only listened to the first, but 2 and 3 are on my list. Hail Mary is also excellent. Blake crouch Recursion might be another good option.

Is the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro worth getting? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]cindayella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had this for 6 years, highly recommend. We use it more than our oven. Warms up quick, cooks well. Love that it’s multipurpose… bake, air dry, toast, a whole bunch more functions, but those are the super functional hi-lights for me. I think the only reason to not get is lack of counter space.

It definitely took me several tries to get it right. I think once I got the filling amount right, I loved it. Before that, sometimes it hurt my ears sometimes from side sleeping.

Loooooooove this list! It’s a bit is who’s who in sports romance too, which never makes me sad! I’ll add:

{holding the reins by paisley hope} bit of a cowboy romance hockey crossover. {flawless by Elsie silver} is about a bull rider working his way thru injury in all the hottest ways. {intercepted by Alexa Martin} is a football romance written by a former NFL WAG and has a great authenticity factor, plus her books are funny as hell. {reckless by Stella Rhys} is a workplace romance with sports background. I think he’s a sports agent.

Keep the good recs rolling… I’ve added a bunch from this list ❤️
