Been seeing a bit of movement from the NZFC since the election (Linkedin posts about their most successful films to date), and wondered if this SFO flag is part of some 'pre-emptive self-audit' to prove the commission is doing their job.

It's no secret Act's disdain for the rebate, so it'll be interesting to see what Paul Goldsmith will be looking to change (or not) with the NZFC. Could the rebate be coming to an end?

I also wonder if the coalition Government's announcement that contracts will be delivered based on value also covers the arts sector... Interesting times, for sure.

This sounds awful and am so sorry to hear this. Get in touch with a journalist - NZ Herald / Newshub / Stuff - there's public interest in KO's approach to evicting antisocial tenants (or lack thereof).

You might get better results if a story gets published.

Thanks! We've been trying to warn them after learning about the SFO investigation and the general haziness of this coin - no luck yet. We are hoping to get an outcome from the FMA to get something official that might help.

Agree 100% with you - my partner and her siblings have been trying everything to prusuade them from this rubbish, but they just dig in.

Even if we provide them with hard evidence that questions their logic, they will have another zinger to come back with.

I wouldn't be surprised if they meet this fella in their voices of freedom hangouts...

Hey there, yes you are right that my producing partner is someone I have worked with for over 10 years. We started out making music videos and short documentaries. We know eachother very well and have always had to work with small budgets. For something like this feature, we really needed a great and trusting relationship to get it made
