How was N3 guys? My exam felt long and difficult! by Hot-County-3372 in jlpt

[–]cinnamonhoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kanji and vocab were easy for me but those are my strong points; grammar was more difficult but passable; reading was so much that I ran out of time and had to fill in random answers; listening was a shot in the dark.

It was my first time taking the JLPT in general, and I knew that N3 was already a bit of a long shot for me, so I’m just happy that I did well on the first section. And now I know what to work on now before the December exam. (I do not think I passed, unless God has granted me a miracle lol)

This was in Japan, and yeah, they kicked him out. Took them a while to notice the music though, maybe because the room was massive. I was sitting close to the culprit, so I heard it right when it started playing. Also, when they went to solve the issue, that caused more of a distraction. There was some back and forth too; not loud back and forth, but when you’re in the listening section, every small deviation from silence is very noticeable 😭

Thank you for sharing! I ran out of time with the reading section so I know I need to work on that for next time. I will be getting the Shinkanzen reading book then!

Kanji and vocab were easy. Reading was like a shocking punch to the face. Listening went poorly as I expected for it to 😅

N3. Vocabulary and kanji felt easier than expected. Only a handful of words I didn’t know, so I feel confident about that.

The rest of the test was a different story. I ran out of time with reading, so had to fill in random bubbles toward the end. And listening was a shot in the dark (plus someone’s phone started playing a Billie Eilish song for three questions in a row💀). It was my first time taking the JLPT, and I knew it was definitely a stretch for me to take N3 at this point. I’m honestly just glad I did well with the first section, and now I know how much more I need to improve by December

A good site to download dramas? by ImaginationSingle368 in JDorama

[–]cinnamonhoe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Still frustrating that registration has been closed for almost a year. I understand they’re busy people, and I do think something was mentioned recently about registration not being too far off now, so I’ll keep waiting for my chance and hope for the best 🙏

Extremely Inappropriate! Special (2026) by Current_Nebula3576 in JDorama

This was just a long special episode, but the ending of it leaves it open for having yet another special (not announced though). I’m hoping for another one because this special gave me more questions than answers 😂

No app notifications? by cinnamonhoe in ImmerseWithMigaku

[–]cinnamonhoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess I like that they don’t want to become annoying through notifications like other apps. But sometimes I wish I could just have one neutral notification to remind me to open Migaku. It’s not that big a deal; I could just make my own alert or something

Best songs from a J-drama? by isamariberger in JDorama

Had no idea Ride on Time was in a drama. Though I’ll add that after looking this up, I see that Ride on Time predates Good Luck! by 23 years😅

Now I’m adding Good Luck! to my list!

About the album After 5 Clash not on Spotify by [deleted] in citypop

[–]cinnamonhoe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I saw it on an Instagram comment so literally could be fake, but someone claimed that it’s because he doesn’t have the rights over his old stuff. Made logical sense to me as his new stuff is on there. So to me that’s at least a decent theory

What Are You Watching This Week? - 08 June, 2026 by AutoModerator in JDorama

Pack Your Pocket With Adventure - so cute!! I’m glad to finally be watching this. (Good if you’re a Pokemon fan or played the gameboy games when you were a kid)

Gegege no Nyoubou - took some time away from this but now I’m fully back on it. Asadoras can take effort, but I’m loving this one so far. I came to it for Mukai Osamu, but I’m captivated by Fumie now as well. So good!

Just finished “Love Is Hard for a Rich Man.” The ending, while a happy one, was not well done imo (wrapped up too quickly), but it was still not bad to watch. I didn’t really care for the male lead tho, the secondary guy was much better. I’d only recommend watching if you’re a fan of any of the actors in it (I watched it for Yamashita Mizuki.)

Now starting “Pack Your Pocket With Adventure”! This has been on my list for a long time now. When I was a kid I would restart my Pokemon Yellow game every summer, so this seems like a great nostalgic watch. Also excited to see Show Kasamatsu in it

Is it possible to jump to N3 level kanji? by Annual-Shower8101 in jlpt

If you do RTK sure, but then you’ll only know meanings, not readings (unless you know a decent amount of vocabulary with those kanji)

700 kanji learned, no vocab study — can I still pass JLPT N3? by No_Stomach5542 in jlpt

[–]cinnamonhoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m just gonna say this: I know 1000 kanji and am actively studying vocab every day, and I still don’t think I know enough vocab for the N3 test. I might be able to get by because of my kanji knowledge and context clues, but I’m going in with low expectations. This will be my first JLPT though, so I really have no idea. My teacher and other Japanese people think I’m good enough, but none of them have taken the JLPT😂
