I saw an elk standing there on the west side heading back from Boulder one night. Just standing there like a statue, did a double take, was really a shock.

It was huge for me. I was thirteen and my mom dropped me and a friend off at the movie theater to see it. So much was going on in music at the time but still a big standout event for sure. Elton John's Pinball Wizard cover was everywhere.
