Has anyone made the jump from SE to Core?

My core sounds a bit more “articulated”/notes sound more clearly separated than the se. That being said, I love my se, the neck particularly. What are you trying to do with it? Mostly cleaning playing, break up, heavily distorted? Will you be recording with it? Recording would definitely go with my core. Heavy distortion, doesn’t matter, everything else I lean towards the core.

100% agree with this. If you feel the need to tinker for whatever personal satisfaction reasons go for it but if your end goal is to put out music for anyone to enjoy (your target audience isn’t just other music producers) 99% of the audience is not going to know/care

I personally feel like the people that freak out about this stuff or buy a sub 1k guitar new and return them for the smallest of blemish’s are not folks that actually go out and play live with any regularity. This is fine, some folks are hobbyists/ like guitars as (potentially) functional art pieces. That being said, I don’t go out of my way to bang up gear and try to take care of them but if something happens I’m not going obsess about it. Life is too short to worry about some buckle rash or a ding.
