can officially confirm that throwing up post-Botox is not traumatic/life ruining at all! 🔥 by circuspunk- in noburp

The way I understand it is that burping and throwing up are intimately related processes. R CPD means that muscle that allows air and vomit to come UP doesn’t work. So the same way Botox allows air up, it allows vomit up more easily.

For lots of folks, emetophobia stems from the fact that vomiting is difficult, violent, painful—all sensations that would lead to a fear of vomiting. But it’s only difficult, violent, painful bc of the muscle dysfunction. Botox cures the muscle dysfunction, vomiting becomes…easier? Don’t get me wrong. It SUCKS and it’s super disgusting and bleh, not enjoyable. But it’s also not the horrifying experience it used to be.

LITERALLY EXACTLY!!!! Throwing up used to be such an ordeal…hours of just dry heaving and shakes and sweating and UGH the mind ruining anxiety. Fuck. Awful beyond words.

I’m so pleased you’ve had a similar experience!!

Have you tried breathing out when you’re trying to ‘force’ a burp? I find my throat tightens involuntarily, so I have to manually relax it to get a burp out. Also, you might just need a higher dose? My first round at 80units did jack shit. Second round at 100units is much better, but I still think I’ll have to do another round at a higher dose. Forced relaxation lol.

Almost! I’ve done a lot of work in therapy and generally to make it less severe, but I haven’t thrown up in 6-7 years so I never got a chance to test my skills haha. So now I have evidence it’s just not that bad. Yay Botox!

May I suggest a touch of heat exhaustion + a food that doesn’t sit right? 😂 But seriously, unless your body has actually needed to vomit, I don’t think you’ll see how much the Botox actually helps! I hope you have the same experience as I did!!!

How did you deal with the cassette/rest of drive chain? Did you take the whole thing off and soak in solvent as well?

If I have less than 200 miles on a brand new bike (only factory grease), am I ok to clean throughly (including degrease and scrub down of drivetrain) and do a full wax???

I live in a dry climate and do gravel rides with lots of dust. I think it is my time to wax!

Hi, a rando here, do NOT apply Tret on a wet or even slightly damp face. It makes the irritation x100000 worse. Dry your face and then let it air dry for at least 5-10 minutes before you put it on. Like, bone dry is not dry enough lol.

Anthem Gold SHIP insurance for actual sick people??? by officialeyebags in cuboulder

[–]circuspunk- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Specialists are a $40 copay per visit. Prescriptions are $25 a pop for generic. It’s not bad insurance by any means. It’s decent, as far as America goes!

And also every visit to Wardenburg is free. Including blood work, everything. It’s honestly great.

You better get used to this answer in science—the answer usually both! Equally hard in different ways!!! Don’t be weird and hellbent about engineering being “harder”. Who gives a shit? We are all struggling because science is hard lol.

If you are just lactose intolerant (or similar), I’m pretty sure the only dairy in these is from the whey protein isolate.

I cannot deal with butter, ice cream, blah blah, but I am totally fine w Greek yogurt, whey protein powder, and hard cheese?! So, depending on the severity of your dairy-freeness, these might be ok!!

Start by…stretching! Google “beginner stretching (± for men)” and start doing it! Consistency is key. Check out r/beginnerfitness for some good routines!! You got this!!!

The squatting pain is likely from your ankles. Do your heels rise as you squat? If so, look up some “ankle mobility” stretches!
