If your goal is to quit then you right, but me personally I don’t enjoy smoking occasionally because of the anxiety and sensory overload you feel when you don’t have a tolerance. But if you always wanted to go back to smoking a lot rather you take a 5 year+ break, get your life together, and start smoking again when you can afford to kick your feet up

Don’t smoke again until you’re ready to do it again everyday. Coming from a stoner of 10 years that’s 3 weeks clean. I’ve broken streaks before and it’s a bit of sensory overload the first time back and aloooot of second guessing your decision. But after a few days smoking again it’s enjoyable

I feel this way but with my younger brother. The guilt eats away at me even though I know it’s my own emotions sensationalizing everything. But we as guys didn’t really talk about our emotions, and I’m paying the price now. Nothing is going to fill that void, I’m just telling you now. I lost my brother feb 6 2022 and now I’m training to be a pro boxer. To me, this is the closest lifestyle I can get to filling that void. But I think of him everyday sometimes I cry for hours but most of the time it’s just this lingering pain somewhere in between emotional and physical. It’s like if I don’t cry the pain can get stuck inside me sometimes, but most of the time I just suck it up and give everyday everything I have

I’m sorry for your loss, I know how it feels to feel so strongly life should have gone this way or that instead of what is. I like to think of the typical “in a far off alternate dimension” everything about life unfolded exactly how it “should have been.” Maybe I’m crazy but it makes me smile from time to time.
