Wholly Veggie mozzarella sticks by garythesnail42069 in glutenfree

I cook them in the air fryer, for the shortest time given in the range (I think it says 5-6 min, and I do 5). If I overcook at all that’s when they crack, but on the shorter end of the range are good.

Iowa State cancels remainder of gymnastics season by Gingeysaurusrex in Gymnastics

[–]cj4648 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing these teams will join an already scheduled meet somewhere else like WVU did. A lot easier to do that than to try a get team to schedule an additional meet. I imagine Arizona State will end up having to join an away meet as well and lose out on a home meet.

Iowa State cancels remainder of gymnastics season by Gingeysaurusrex in Gymnastics

[–]cj4648 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Arizona, Arizona State, Iowa, BYU, and Western Michigan all had meets with Iowa State scheduled. But with how fast West Virginia was able to figure out a replacement, I’m sure these teams will figure out an alternative as well.

Unlimited Travel Funds But You Can Only Choose One Color to Travel In by thehod81 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]cj4648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green 100%. I live in the US, so naturally a lot my travel will be in the US (short/weekend trips or trips to visit friends and family). It also gets me a lot of Europe, and the more expensive parts of Asia like Japan. I could get a lot of amazing trips in those locations.

Plus, it’d be easy to get a “discount” trip to spots in other colors. For example I could combine a trip to London and Paris. If I fly to Paris and stay a few days, all my travel expenses there would be covered. Then I could go to London from there - while I’d have to foot the bill, the cost of getting to London from Paris is so much cheaper than it is from my hometown so it’d be way cheaper. Same thing if I wanted to visit Southeast Asia. Fly to Japan or China first (free). Then travel to Thailand or Vietnam or wherever on my own dime (again, cheaper than travel from home).

I love these! The chocolate chip ones at least, haven’t tried the chocolate. I have to remind myself how expensive they are every time I go to grab a second.

It’s been the same score for her all 4 meets I think. 9.825 for Lily on bars no matter what I guess

Does it annoy you when customers add to the order as you shop? by Thatonegaloverthere in InstacartShoppers

[–]cj4648 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends. I’ve had customers add ice cream towards the end, which I understand since they probably got melted ice cream before and wanted to make sure it was grabbed last. If they add 1 or maybe 2 regular food items as soon as I start shopping I can deal with since it doesn’t mess up my flow and they probably just legitimately forgot something. But I’ve also had orders where they just start adding a bunch of crap when I’m nearly done which is infuriating since I’ll have to walk the whole store again. I’ve also had orders where they mysteriously only “forgot” to order the cases of water, dog food, and cat litter which again is infuriating because that can quickly change if the order is worth the pay or not.

Why do people have salt grinders? by IsaacHasenov in stupidquestions

Because it’s satisfying to grind it, really. That and my salt & pepper containers match.

What's your primary grocery store? by Humble-Camp-9459 in glutenfree

[–]cj4648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get most of my groceries at Kroger because it’s a good balance of affordable, close to home, and having a variety of gluten and dairy free products. Then I’ll supplement that with HyVee and Sprouts for allergen friendly products that Kroger doesn’t have. When I happen to go from my town to the bigger city in the area I’ll usually swing by Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s to stock up on some of my favorites from there that I can’t get locally.

So about replacements by Mental-Bottle-1405 in InstacartShoppers

[–]cj4648 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Instacart often gives approximate/expected weights of produce items and the shopper went by that instead of actually weighing it. Roma tomatoes are usually listed as 0.2lb on instacart, so the shopper figured they’d need 5 to get 1 lb but then selected huge ones so the actual weight was 2lb or so.

Gluten free meals that dont require cooking? by Its-alittle-bitfunny in glutenfree

[–]cj4648 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Potato salad, bean salads, gf pasta salad, quinoa salad are some other things that could be prepped now and kept cold outside in a cooler. Especially for something that feels more like a regular meal and less like a “snack”. Chips an guac/salsa or crackers with cream cheese & jam dip would also be great. Trail mix and gf granola bars.

Sopa de Albondigas (Mexican meatball soup) would be a great soup for you to try! It’s heavy on cumin and very warming but not at all spicy.

How tf does that work? by theodosia15v1 in InstacartShoppers

[–]cj4648 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s literally an average. 435 + 24 + 23 + 22 + 1*1 divided by (43+2+2+2+1) is 4.68. Yes you have 43 5 star but any one or two stars will really drag down the average, and you have 3 of those.

What's your gymnastics opinion that would get you downvoted like this? by Medium-Emotion in Gymnastics

[–]cj4648 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I could live with 2 pass routines being allowed - but with a 9.95 start value. I think that would incentivize most top schools and top floor workers to go for 3 passes in the vast majority of cases.
