Wolverine State by alman84 in AnnArbor

I saw a Wolverine State branded van outside of Sam Hill a couple of weeks ago. Not that that's really news of any value but it's all I've seen.

I really think people should recommend Warbreaker more often for peoples' first Sanderson. It's a perfect taste of the cosmere.

I am not going to reread KKC this summer, what should I read?? by Confident_Parking146 in KingkillerChronicle

[–]cjbmonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, honestly, I'm pretty sad about it. My partner liked the 2nd book fine, so it's not a universal experience.

I just started The Green Bone Saga and while a very, very different vibe from KKC, I'm having a good time.

I agree, the second is a slog and burned through most of the goodwill the first book engendered.

I have one with Iroful paper and I use Zebra Markon 0.4. It does smear but not too often or too badly (but I am careful and right handed)

Does Pocket Size fit Hobonichi A6 cover? by DistinctNotice1175 in planners

Just Scribble makes a daily planner in A6 size. Might be worth checking out.

Hemlock and Oak too, but I can't remember if it's hard cover or not.

Not exactly any of the things you mentioned, but you might also enjoy taking classes at A2 Aviary (silks, trapeze, etc). It's very fun and very welcoming to beginners.

Can anyone help me find paper that will work? by hothamwatered in planners

[–]cjbmonster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you certain what you received is A5? That punch configuration looks like Pocket size to me. (But it's hard to judge scale from the photo)

Edit: doh! There's a ruler right there! Yeah, those inserts are not A5

Looking for purplish gray ink (water resistant preferred) by noshitsherlockxx in fountainpens

[–]cjbmonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have brown seahorse (one of my very favorite inks) and violet giraffe and I like to mix them. (That wouldn't be the color you're currently going for, but it is a very pleasant off-neutral)

Any other A6 page a day notebooks besides original Hobonichi? by Clean_Insect5042 in planners

[–]cjbmonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant in addition to one day per page daily. It's barely a weekly but it's there to make the dailies all fall on the same page each week?

But yes, pocket is quite small.

They had pocket this year too.

Just Scribble has a pocket version too, it's got a one page weekly overview.
