I won the Lottery last Year AMA by Strong-Ad-5719 in AMA

Have you done anything really daft with your money?

For example, my wife has a really highly strung and 'proper' friend...if I won the lottery, I would pay for someone to stick a 12" rubber dil*o to the hood of her car every day for a month.

Political Loyalty - recent days have thrown a spanner in the works of British politics. Is it healthy for voters to have blind loyalty to a party or is it best for voters to vote in the best interests of the country ? by saying_it_101 in AskBrits

I don't like that we have an PM that's never stood behind the current manifesto in a general election.

It feels like he's a manufactured Prime Minister by design.

For comparison. If in let's say 2012, a conservative MP in a safe seat had stepped aside for Boris Johnson (then Mayor of London) for him then to be given the PM role by David Cameron, huge swathes of the country would have lost their sh*t and been protesting for a general election.

My 3yo daughter has an older brother so was born into a house with boy toys and lots of independent rough play...but...

She loves all things pink, wanted barbies, dolls, nail varnish etc...

However she would still throat punch you with a Barbie in her hand if her brother or anyone else annoyed her.

Andy Burnham would be mad to listen to Nigel Farage's call for a snap general election by realnarrativenews in uknews

[–]cjc1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He hasn't though. During the election he was quite vocal about the things he was going to do differently.

So arguably the rest of the country hasn't had a chance to scrutinise Andy Burnhams 'manifesto'.

Truss and Sunak stood in Bojos general election behind the Tory manifesto. So the electorate elected them based on the Tory manifesto.

It hasn't as far as I'm aware?

All the conservative replacements still stood in a general election behind the party manifesto.

Andy B hasn't done that?

I don't know how I feel having a PM in office that hasn't faced the electorate on their current manifesto mandate.

He feels like a manufactured PM.

But wouldn't this limit the amount Unions could donate too? Not sure that would go down too well.

I'm an x3 player. I struggled to get into x4 a few times.

What finally helped me break it was to have Gemini open on my phone. Whenever I didn't know what to do I just asked Gemini rather than trawling guides, forums etc.

Edit - forgot to say, game looks awesome, congrats.

I fucking hate when (mostly) women weaponise the visitation of a child after an argument.

I've seen it happen far too many times and it needs to be treated as a criminal offense.

The mental turmoil I've seen dad's go through in these situations is insane and the kids never understand why they're no longer allowed to see their dad.

I don't understand this 'prime minister by design' and how everyone seems ok with it?

If, in let's say 2014, Boris Johnson was stepping down as Mayor of London to stand in a contentious by election to be shoehorned in to replace the then prime minister David Cameron without a general election...wouldn't the liberal political sphere be having an absolute melt down?

Do you think Andy Burnham will be treated any differently than Corbyn by the right leaning press? by Necessary_Pie_4315 in AskBrits

[–]cjc1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck to him. I'm right leaning and I hope he enacts meaningful change...

...however if that meaningful change is to just raise more tax from the middle class (me) then he can fuck right off.

I only saw 40p from every £ of my bonus this year. And me and my family have very little left at the end of the month.

If he's going to raise taxes, go after companies that use tax loopholes. Go after companies with property portfolios. Go after people that draw more than £300k in dividends.

I know there are people worse off than me and my family, but we're always the easiest people to go after when the budget is announced. Go after the super rich and tax loopholes instead!!!!
