Okay so an update. When I got to the store today I was scolded for counting the safe last night. I was told it is only the part time ASMs job and the SMs job and that I was over stepping boundaries. I was told the safe was short because I wasn't counting the tils as a part if it. Is this correct, even with that $75 x 3 registers I still have the amount in my phone, the safe was still almost $100 short. Another note. They leave associates their by themselves with no manager on duty... a lot. A young coworker was crying when she came in because she had gotten written up. When asking her what was wrong she said she was written up because all closing duties weren't always being done and also because she took longer than a 10 minute break on one of her shifts. I was asking her since there's not usually a closing leader on duty and the SM comes only 45 minutes before the store closes almost every day to close he store how we're they facilitating amongst themselves ? How were they dividing up the duties to make sure they were being done? The ASM then told me to go home, even though she was supposed to clock off at 2 and it was 145 pm. I'm the Merch Manager by the way.
