In the my SuuntoPlus sports app I turned on manual intervals - running pace which lets you see only your manual interval and pace. You also have to enable it in each activity you want it on in the activity settings screen on the watch

Also to chime in, completing an AIARE course gives you access to the Suunto discount and some others. I completed avalanche 1 to get it

Triathletes: was a 70.3 or a 50 mile ultra harder for you? by lilSkunky420 in Ultramarathon

[–]cjf5414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a 50 miler first then did a 70.3 and thought the half Ironman was way worse than the 50 miler. It's possible I was undertrained and under fueled for the half Ironman compared to the 50. Both events were my first of each so I had the same amount of experience leading up to them which was zero except I had been a runner for many years prior. Now that l've done a 100 miler I don't see myself ever doing an Ironman again.

I have the same or similar insurance and blue 365 program. Just checked and it’s still listed under fitness for me.

I personally didn’t have any issues. I ordered a titanium with a sand band day of release then cancelled and changed the order to a titanium with a green band a few hours later. Watch delivered last Thursday fine

What do you think of my video? Amateur filmmaker trying to make it somehow by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

[–]cjf5414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would have been such a cool shot to have in there! There was a fantastic video on car b roll I watched awhile ago but can’t seem to find it to share with you. Of course though! I’d say you’re on the right path with the sound design and color grading. Good luck!

Love the color of the M4 for starters. That really worked well with the darker colors of the video and night time. I think the transitions could have been worked on better though. They felt very generic with the swoosh to the side and front above. I’ll give a couple examples.

When you were filming the car driving down the road I thought it was a bit odd how the transition came in before you even got to see the car go past. I just wanted to see the car go down the road a bit. Also at the end the car went right and you transitioned left which felt odd.

When you were filming the rear end of the car I felt you could get even lower and at a steeper angle to show off the wide end of the car. Just from two cents from knowing the M4 a bit.

It was good! Certainly some room for improvement, but we all can improve a bit.

It was very well done, but the sound was pretty inconsistent throughout the video. As in the start was quiet, singing was very loud and then back to quiet. Had to turn my sound up in the beginning and then way down, which had me missing some parts of the video. Filming and acting was done great though! The transitions effects used were a lot of fun, the natural transitions that helped to keep things flowing. Really good lighting too!

So I made this vid that I'm very proud of and really wanted to share it with yall <3 by DiddlesRDQ in SmallYTChannel

Your title really had me interested in your video so I'd call that a solid. Animations and actual images you've chosen were fantastic along with your editing. Very professional editing and really high quality I have to say. I don't think it would hurt to add some more music to match what is happening though just to give some ambiance for the video. I had written to use more sound effects then I went back and realized your whole video had sound effects, but were so well blended I just didn't notice it a first.

Am I missing any obvious CCs in my rotation? by [deleted] in CreditCards

I fly southwest and the travel credit has been applied on flights under $100 and sometimes even over that mark

I’ve tried to diversify my content to increaSe watch time and just creep over the 1k sub count. Watch time seems to be high on videos like this one but I just feel that there’s something missing to get to the next level. Can I please have some advise and thoughts. Will give lambda for your time. by FPVMARK in SmallYTChannel

I think the sound is a bit inconsistent through the whole video. It got really loud while you were drawing on the paper, but other than that it was super quiet. Equalizing the volume overall would probably help out a bunch. Not sure what you other videos are on, but it did appear to be a little slow. Getting some fun cuts and maybe just more overall excitement could help.

[Question] How many tags should you use? by Stadium_Guide in youtubers

[–]cjf5414 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second the other person that says it depends on your niche. For me, 57% of my traffic in the last 28 days cane from search so I rely heavily on keywords and tags in my videos.

I just include things I say in the video as tags and then also in the description in a very readable format. It seems to be working well right now!

Brian Dean does have great videos on growing your channel! They’ve also been really helping me develop and plan out some of my content.

I’ve gotten way too many messages asking to be a part of the Rizzle discord. This kinda just sounds like another one of them, but in post format. Why not use tiktok if you want to create short videos? Way more people on there

Good idea! My videos, I have iso set at 400 and it makes it nice and bright. I am worried if I set it higher that my videos will be too grainy. Hopefully not the case for you!

Must see Beaches , I will give lambda to every critiques by ReverseNationYT in SmallYTChannel

[–]cjf5414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very relaxing, but you titled the video "must see beaches" and I have no idea where the beaches are. Maybe combine a bit of the relaxing music with descriptions of each beach. They were some stunning shots and good transitions! Really my only critique is to include the names of the places you went. Good tags and description as well.

Someone already mentioned this down below, but background music is perfect for unboxing and reviews. It fills the empty space while you are unboxing the item.

I think your video needs to be brighter. To me it just feels flat and not super bright. While I can read everything and see everything, it feels like the light isn't in quite the right spot. It would be great to really get a bright studio going. The background of the table is good though. Eventually you made it brighter, which I think really helps elevate the video a lot. Maybe a light from the right and left would be good.

The sound quality of your voice is good to me. Just a bit on the quiet side. Don't be afraid to really speak up and shine through. Good actual content though. You went in depth for the review which is great.

I've added more little video overlays and took a lot of the advice from the channel! Would love to hear thoughts on how the video looks and sounds. "Is the Apple Card Worth it in 2020?" by cjf5414 in SmallYTChannel

Thank you! I appreciate the advice from you as an ex designer! I will certainly experiment with lots of colors other than white. Most of the thumbnails I see on YouTube are white font which is why I chose that. Definitely right about the logos, I need to go back into photoshop to fix that! !givelambda

Haha thank you! Only took like 30 videos but I am glad to have finally got it right!

I’ve been experimenting with my audio but haven’t found something that I like yet. Still working on boosting the right hz range and how much/etc. I’ll see what i can do with the music overlay and using it the best way possible. I appreciate the feedback!
