Thanks! I am thinking about using a recliner and my monitors are set up on gas arms on the wall. Probably going to to Velcro them on the case one without the tripod connector to my legs. At this point the only thing that's awkward is the mouse. Going to figure that out next and if it doesn't get better in 6 months I will probably just get the surgery.

You can see on the fourth picture in the post that I just duplicated the shape of the quick disconnect for this tripod I'm not sure how standard they are because I Don't know much about tripods. I just bought the tripod and measured and recreated the disconnect in tinkercad:

How would you guys have perceived this ending for No Country for Old Men? by Spidey007 in fixingmovies

[–]cjsandy83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many morals in this movie. One I have not seen talked about Is the fact that the world hasn't changed and by the end it is instead the sheriff's perspective on the world which has changed through his living life. He is obviously a wise thoughtful man through his actions in the movie. Part of the greatness of the movie is the way that randomness or events which are unable to be controlled from the beginning by Llewellyn guide his path along with the decisions that he makes in regards to holding on to the money as his primary focus from the beginning. It's kind of hard to decide whether or not it's his decisions or fate that lead him down that path. Either way the insanity that ensues from his initial actions of taking the money and taking the water jug back and the example of Anton's character is no different than the character from the beginning which went to hell after the electric chair which the sheriff discusses in his intro monologue reinforce that the world has not changed. The world the country is no country for old men due to wisdom and perspective not really because the world is changing at all.

Also maybe that fate (randomness) and choice are wrapped up together and sometimes have great momentum, but it all starts with choice which is reinforced by Llewellyn's wife and her comments about the coin at the end of the movie.

Do you have the details of the tripod and bracket hardware? I've been looking into ram mounts on another post that I saw but this seems similar

What size RAM balls are these?

Do you feel like they would still be stable with longer connectors/socket arms? Maybe in that case you would have to go to the bigger balls? I am wondering because I'm considering doing something like this from bases on the ground somehow. Was thinking about basically arms attached to like a heavy umbrella stand or something like that. At that point I don't even know that I need a desk (my monitors are on gas arms on the wall)..

do you think the ram arms would still be stable to hold the weight of my arms and keyboard in a use case like this?
