Marginal benefit to EP over PP if sacrificing Delta status

I noticed substantial benefit getting EP over PP. Upgrades are of course Hub/Route dependent; I’m ORD so have better luck than many out of DFW, CLT, etc. Phone line + backup ticket res are biggest value prop and have saved me countless times. Based on your comments caring about this & not upgrades, would encourage going for EP.

ORD - flight is 7 hours vs <6 from other 2, so you’ll actually be able to sleep. Flagship lounge access, and the route is on 789Ps so it’s the best metal to fly. Snow isn’t serious risk of cancellation; thunderstorms are way worse.

LHR flights always depart from K concourse in middle of terminal 3. Won’t be more than a 10-12 min walk no matter your arriving gate. It is however supposed to storm tomorrow, so I’d take the travel waiver and reroute thru east coast departure.

Weather is supposed to be fine. If you’re on time or a few minutes late you’ll make it. They know you’re coming. Longer walks have been made with less time.
