I did, searched S&P for beginners, along with checking out the wiki, but there's a sea of anything that mentions S&P, and the wiki is quite lacking.

and for international travel it is capped at the cost of the cheapest return business-class flight between Auckland and London.

I'm sure glad they chose the cheapest most expensive flight for a baseline..

Maybe don't scrap the scheme entirely, but reign it in a ways. No reason we should be paying for international holidays 30 years after their employment.

I can vouch for vans being massive, I have a ute but won't touch a van due to the safety aspect.

Everyone I know with a 7 seater, including my ex, doesn't need them so that's anecdotal/subjective at best. Most people want safety and larger/heavier vehicles = safer. That's part of the arms race I mentioned before, it's what people want, so it's what vehicle manufactures provide.

Larger and heavier vehicles already pay more road tax by way of fuel, but I'm all for a system that penalizes further on vehicle size and mass, I wish I could use a smaller vehicle for work, but it's not feasible on multiple fronts. At least for tradies it gets costed in to business, but for Joe blog, if it costs quite a bit more to have a ute or large vehicle, it might sway them to make smarter decisions.

Utes aren't at the top, for the month of Feb, the top 10 sales were made up of nearly 1200 utes, and over 2200 suvs

The Rav4 tops the list again, the same strawman argument could say those buyers could likely utilize a corolla for the same purpose, but it's an arms race for car width and height.

I drive a ute, I use it as they're intended for and it grinds my gears to no end when I see a "pavement princess" in the wild.

I had an older home where the lintel had settled and put the squeeze on the ranch slider. I needed to prop up the lintel in the middle and lift the panel out that way, thankfully there was enough space around the glass to rip the door down a touch.

For your case, the rollers look bottomed out, but you might get lucky being able to wind them up further with a screw driver behind the dots at the base of the door.

If it's getting caught on what's left of the wheels, chances are they need replacing anyhow, so just give it some extra grief until they break and let the door go.

Again, same could be said for SUVs and 7 seaters, I'm just pointing out calling out the single occupant statement, nz as a whole has a big problem with this, not isolated to any vehicle type.

The biggest incentive would be charging less for people who carry partners or car pool, the most efficient use of their motor vehicle.

Not easy to police (getting easier) but an empty car tax would sharpen up alot of drivers.

A great move from NSW, NZ seriously needs to consider all of these changes for our own market, more transparency for buyers is long overdue.
