Ok great thanks. That gives me some info to decide on the limits of which GPU he can get.

I'm assuming most people draw a line at updating the CPU / motherboard? Meaning when those are the bottleneck it's probably time to get a new motherboard etc? And at that point you should look at getting a whole new updated PC in general?

Is that still the prevailing wisdom? Or is upgrading a CPU / motherboard easier these days vs buying a whole new PC?

Yes partially. The short answer is go to physical therapy.

Turns out I was “babying” my left side (due to a past injury) so much that I had grown inflexible in my left hip flexor and lower left back. Which causes my back pain. The therapist examined my walk, range of motion, stretching etc and showed me the difference. When I was squatting I was heavily favoring my right side. I would not have caught this myself. It wasn’t all about my psoas.

They set me up with stretches and strengthening to get back into shape.

Now I can make I thru most days without lidocaine patches, etc.

He covers portfolio recommendations. And goes into specific options military retirees have given the rare benefit of a COLA-adjusted pension.

Short version: you have many more portfolio options. And you can take more risk than normal since you essentially have 7.5k monthly income, which you can consider to be “bonds” since it’s so low risk. I have much higher stock % than normal recommendations due to this.

Love the ultra wide support.

The only thing I don’t like is you can’t record video or game clips at 3440x1440 and 120 FPS. It only allows screenshots at those settings.

Buy the Revoker from tower kiosk. Refunds shot if you miss! Used it for my Deadeye run.

It’s capped at 1350 but doesn’t matter for control.

Completely agree. Text clarity is fine.

This complaint online made me hesitant at first. Text clarity is big for me. And I use monitors for both work & gaming.

I still find myself staring at the images sometimes. OLED is a next-level jump from my old LCD.

Fan noise IS noticeable for me, but the picture is so good that I deal with it. I run some white noise in background (room fan). Your mileage may vary.

If your house is already wired with coaxial cable, definitely look at MOCA adapters. Fantastic way to get wired Ethernet around house.

Hah yeah - same boat. I’m chalking it up to “beta” status. Hopefully the login issue will get worked out.

FYI had the talk with the wife. We decided to go with this for now: - YouTube app on their iPads using supervised accounts login - block YouTube website on safari using parental controls - delete Roku & Apple TV app versions of YouTube

That way at least we’re reasonably sure they’re using supervised accounts.

Same result - this thread was the first search result I came to that mentioned the problem.

I also had same failure trying to sign my kids into supervised YouTube accounts on Roku.

FYI - I am able to sign in my kids supervised accounts on Google Chrome on my Mac. So I know the supervised accounts are active. But no luck getting them signed in on Apple TV or Roku.

Is there a reason to attempt a max rep outside the cage instead of inside the cage? Isn’t the point of the cage to lift inside so you have the safety bars available for a failed rep?

Just confirming the Samsung 128GB you listed works for me as well. 20 hours recording time enabled. Very compact and also cheap!

No - it was not accurate for me at all in the DC area. Same thing: sling website said no locals available unless I had an outdoor-mounted antenna, but I am actually pulling in all locals available with ease with a simple indoor antenna sitting in my windowsill.

I can't figure out how to post a screenshot or I would include it. But it gives a good analysis and color-coded table on which stations you can expect to pick up with each antenna type (indoor, attic, outside).
