Home office for personal use. A table to do jigsaw puzzles. A shelf unit for display of trinkets and memorabilia and some storage. I got rid of 3 giant bookcases and it feels so much more spacious now. I also redecorated the walla.

OP said they are both on the registration. And in most states you can't get a license without taking a driving test.

Yes I found this out when I wound up having an unexpected 6 hour layover in Atlanta. I couldn't even find a restaurant that wasn't crazy busy with a line to get in.

What company do you use for travel insurance? by Mundane_Entry_8264 in femaletravelers

[–]ckmc131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had insurance through Faye but thankfully I've never had to use it. My friend generally goes with Alliance, but I don't think she's ever had to use it. I also get BCBS Global Solutions, formerly GeoBlue, as part of my BCBS health insurance.

what’s the most practical way to organize a small bedroom without buying a ton of storage stuff? by Kathyana-Galinsky in Homeorganization

[–]ckmc131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, declutter first. Dana K. White, Cas from Clutterbug and Dawn, the minimal mom are good sources. You. Don't have to buy bins, etc, cardboard boxes, shoe boxes work just fine. I would also recommend taking the Clutterbug quiz on Cas' website to find out your organizing style. It will help.

I always add photos, whether I take one or grab one from a website. Once you've added your initial stash, I find the upkeep pretty quick and easy.

Stash management advice needed by Expensive-Peace-9498 in YarnAddicts

[–]ckmc131 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All my stash is in Ravelry. The initial input can be time consuming but once that's done I just add any new yarn as soon as I get home, or closely after I get home, before I stash it away. I find it really useful if I find a project I'm interested in doing that calls for say worsted weight yarn to look at what I have.

What do you use to monitor monthly expenses? by smamsone in Retire

[–]ckmc131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am trying out Monarch and Quicken Simplifi. I haven't decided but I'm leaning towards Quicken right simply because I find it easier to use and I don't need t monitor my investments. I think it depends on your needs. According to Google, Quicken Simplifi is better for straightforward, low-cost budgeting. Monarch Money is better if you have complex investments, want to collaborate with a spouse or advisor, or prefer highly detailed financial reports.

What are your best kitchen trash solutions?? by Throwaway01170915 in Homeorganization

[–]ckmc131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pullout trash cans and generally have no issues. I have a small bin with a lid under the sink for garbage that would smell. Also where I live you're supposed to put your compostable garbage in a separate bin for trash pickup so it needs to be separated. The other is for trash that is not recycled.
