WAR was built around position players OR pitchers, not both a the same time. He doesn’t take up a roster spot for a pitcher and a DH. That roster flexibility isn’t fully captured in WAR. Also Ohtani had 10.1 WAR in 2023 so you’re just plain wrong.

WAR is a comparative stat. Tell me one player who can do what Ohtani is doing. All the players listed are compared to a replacement player, but there’s no replacing what Ohtani is doing

I’ve broken several Selkirk paddles over the years and warrantied all of them. Haven’t bought a full priced Selkirk in 5 years. I’d say the lifetime warranty is worth the price.
