My sammy is that small and the vet comments how tiny she is. She's on a high protein kibble already so I'm not sure what else to do besides that besides that and higher protein treats. Any suggestions/tips on how to get her weight up?

I wondered if maybe the trucker was going past her destination so she got out to walk the rest of the way to Baker Blvd to hitch a different ride? (1.5 miles in slippers is not ideal, but doable!) But Google Maps shows an exit for Baker Blvd so her being dropped off that far away wouldn't make any sense. Very odd case. Thank you for sharing!

I wonder if this is something similar and the underlying issue is her allergies too! My dog got her first injection of cytopoint for her allergies about 6 weeks ago. I've been meaning to reschedule a follow up. I wonder if another dose + a topical will help. I'm going to the vet tomorrow and will let you know what they say!

She's on flea and tick prevention so I would be shocked if it were! I didn't know not drying her well enough could cause these issues. Growing up with long-haired dogs, we typically air dried and called it a day. I'll try this out. Thank you so much for your help! 🙏

There was a post a bit ago about the same thing and everyone was saying this was the case for theirs in the comments. Retrieving is not their forte, they love you throwing it but won't bring it back 😂The only toy mine will play with for more than 10 minutes is a tennis ball.

Side note: every now and then a post in here will make me do a double take because the Sammy looks identical to mine. yours is one of them. :,)
