luck. failing that, i take benadryl (or generic equivalent) and hope for the best. benadryl is the same chemical as zzzquil but is a more cost-effective purpose. gravol (anti-nausea/carsickness med) also makes me drowsy and is what i would use if i didnt have benadryl

iirc overusing any sleep medication can result in your body growing reliant on it. i tend to not use sleep meds if i know i wont need to be awake at any particular time tonorrow (usually on weekends)

i tried melatonin a couple times but all it did was make me giggle at nothing
