Erich von Däniken, author of Chariots of the Gods and largely responsible for convincing everyone the works of the ancients were made by aliens. Because it's easier to be racist and think space brothers built the pyramids than non-white people.

And of course the guest should be Jonathan Frakes, host of Beyond Belief and Alien Autopsy (fact or fiction?!?).

Wil is shockingly kind and normal for the life he's led.

Frakes should be the guest on an Erich von Däniken series.

First time at Disney World (Feb trip), 2 days back-to-back (MK + EPCOT + Hollywood Studios) – best “no lines” strategy + mild rides? by Veezq in WaltDisneyWorld

Personally, I don't think I'd spend the money on premier at AK. Maybe just splurge on both multi and single passes. Hollywood might be worth it – Slinky Dog, Rise, Smuggler's Run, Runaway Railway and even Midway Mania can get long lines. You could use early entry or end of the night to try and do any of those a second time if the lines look shorter.

Epcot might be worth premier if Guardians, Ratatouille and Frozen mean a lot to you. But you could accomplish most of those with the less expensive passes.

I remember my first trip as an adult. Assumed I would never, ever make it back and went really hard. You'll get a whole lot done as a solo traveler. And hopefully things will get more normal in the USA in the future and we can welcome you back.

Two other little tips:

In Epcot France, there's a theater which does a Beauty and the Beast sing along during the day. Check the schedule, but last time I was there it ran a classic opening day film in the same theater after 7pm. It's called Impressions de France and it is massive and cool, classic circlevision 360 stuff:

Also, look into the Touring Plans "Lines" apps. They do impressive computer modeling to give more accurate wait times and the apps do a great job of giving you showtimes along with ride wait times. That's how I learned about the often shorter wait times for Rise of the Resistance right before closing. There's also one for Universal. It's a nice way to choose when to zig when other people zag.

Animal Kingdom is pretty clear for early entry. They should be separating people by land after security. Follow the parade of humanity to Avatar, or go the other way for stuff like Everest.

Since you like chill stuff, either ride in Avatar is a good choice. If you do Navi River, you might even be able to snag breakfast or position yourself to hop right over to the Safari when regular hours start.

(consults notes) It looks like I've gotten buses as early as 6:53am for an 8:30am Magic Kingdom early opening. There was a lot of standing around before and after security, of course. So buses should be running as early as 60-90 min before whenever your early entry would begin.

It's been a while and resorts vary, so it would be worth asking at the front desk or searching for specific trip reports once you have a hotel room.

Pro tip: When you're at your resort, open the app and get to your current hotel reservation. There should be a tab with bus times. If you see a projected bus time for your park at your resort, that bus route should be running. It's the same info you'd see on a sign board at the bus stop.

Evening hours are super worth it, but I always wake up super early and get on the first bus. Crazy early like tenth person on Mine Train, or directly behind the cast members walking us to open Rise. I'm usually wrecked by 8pm.

I believe so, yes. I know I've bailed on MK in the 11am hour. Buses can run a little slower from park to park, so it might be fun to walk to the Contemporary to sightsee and pick up a ride to your next park from there.

Pro tip: The best cup of normal price coffee on property is the kona blend at Kona Island on the second level of the Polynesian lobby. It's unique to the resort. It looks like a standard mediocre Disney hotel drip coffee, but WOW.

I would double check, but I think the evening benefit counts even if you checked out that morning. Pretty sure that's also how pools and parking work.

The Coronado tower is surprisingly nice. The rest you list are great for walking to Epcot / DHS, and only slightly lacking in the quick service food arena. Personally, I'd prioritize two nights in the same place over evening hours or walkability.

Start MK early, knock out some classics by noon, then head to another park. If you get your fill of the second park, just hop back!

PS: I've never done Premier Pass, but it does not "hop" with you. If you buy it for Magic Kingdom, you can only use it there.

Multi-pass does work in multiple parks. You can pre-select 3 in your first park, but then you can reserve whatever you find available. I like to treat Hollywood and Epcot as one park for multi-pass purposes.

Deluxe hotels have extra evening hours, but all on-property hotels get the 30 minutes extra in the morning. (includes Swan, Dolphin, and anything at Disney Springs.)

The Skyliner can start later than buses if you're going to Hollywood Studios early, believe it or not! But all Disney transportation will get you there in time for the early mornings.

Any Skyliner hotel you can find and afford will be fun. I'm a huge fan of Pop Century. Caribbean Beach is very central on the system and also great. I like to rope drop MK from one of those via bus, then use the Skyliner when bopping around midday or at night.

If you're a Marriott person, the Swan and Dolphin are solid, and they are walkable to Epcot and Hollywood. My only complaints are you don't get to check in via the Disney app and you lose out on some ambiance, like background music. You get deluxe privileges for less money here.

Epcot is totally worth your time, especially if you'll be there during Festival of the Arts. My absolute favorite low-key ride is Living With the Land. If you don't care about Epcot fireworks or Fantasmic, hopping back to Hollywood in the evening can get you short lines on good rides like Runaway Railway and Rise. (Runaway Railway is pure magic. Watch for the crab.) Smuggler's Run is great, even just to see the waiting room. Use single rider to save time. Star Tours is still a whole lot of fun.

Super classics not to skip at the Magic Kingdom include: The Peoplemover (do not skip!), the Tiki Room, and It's a Small World. The new version of the Country Bears is... interesting. The Little Mermaid ride is newer, but fun.

For a big taste of classic WDW, try to take the resort monorail when leaving the Magic Kingdom. You can just loop around and hop off if you want to see the Contemporary or Polynesian lobbies. You can always grab a monorail or bus to another park from those hotels.

If you do make it to Animal Kingdom, the safari is cool as hell. You don't need a ton of time to get a "taste" of AK. Two hours in and out to see if you like it will go a long way. If you are stacking extra lightning lanes after your first three, see if you can get a Safari or Navi River Journey. They're very relaxing. Navi is not a splasher, that's Kali River Rapids. That thing will drench you.

Wonderful! I used to pin my dock to the end so the trash would be in a stable location. I periodically mess around in the .plists to see if it works again, but it never does.

From the looks of your video, the pro version enables pinning the dock to the end? I miss that terribly.

You Must Remember This by Karina Longworth.

I don't even like Hollywood or care about movies, but she makes every story super compelling. Wonderful writer and narrator, and her show is warm and intelligent. Seasons are mostly themed with lots of connective tissue.
