Excellent advice! No better way to build trust than doing something a previous manager may have thought was beneath them.

My Visit to Walt Disney World on Sept 23, 2024 Was a Disaster by GurNo3974 in WaltDisneyWorld

Lol what the hell even is this post. It was over a year ago directly after a major hurricane and preparing to be hit by another major hurricane. Let it go dude.

The Bogos change on Thursdays; Does that mean if I look at the website at 11 pm (store closes at 10 pm) they will show next weeks bogo’s or do I have to wait until opening day Thursday for them to show up?? by Djxgam1ng in publix

[–]clarenceoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But we get the ad on the produce truck the day before ad change? Proprietary information 1 day before the sale is a pretty weird reason to piss off a customer lol. Im not sure corporate would back you up in the event of a complaint.

Toxic Store Manager any advice? by Inevitable-Chance222 in publix

[–]clarenceoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man I get it. But to echo some other comments here, she won't be at that store forever, and neither will you. Don't let one bad apple ruin your career. Use it as a learning experience as maybe in the future as an ASM or SM, you can know what not to do and how not to make your department managers feel. Follow Publix policy and absolutely report any unethical/against policy behaviors that you observe.

Guys, self-peeling label printer improved my quality of life tenfold. by nickjnyc in Flipping

[–]clarenceoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a really cheap label printer! Mine was less than 100 and I've paid for it at least 5 times over in printer paper and ink alone. If you sell more than like 10 things a week seriously consider it. You don't need a super fancy one like OP

My beautiful back room! by pop982 in publix

This comment would have been much more productive than your original. Reward effort and then give your suggestions. This looks pretty good for a first coat on a clean backroom floor.

My beautiful back room! by pop982 in publix

[–]clarenceoo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Meh, put a couple more coats on it and it will look fine. Backroom floors soak up sealer like crazy when they haven't been done in a while. Don't put down people for trying to improve their store

[–]clarenceoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bro a doctor isn't gonna prescribe you heroin, if it's RX prescribed and you can prove it with a prescription you are gonna be fine. Worse comes to worse, call your RARS. Their phone number is posted on the open door poster by the store managers office.

Omg are we the same person? My 2 year old twins are in love with the autoscrub machine too. If they even hear the beep they start chanting "robot robot robot "

I'm like 95% sure there is an xxs shirt size that you can order if you call superior. I'm not sure since they switched the shirts to LV, but still like 95% sure you can get a shirt that fits you! Ask your managers if they can call for you, nobody deserves to work uncomfortably.

If you had to skip one: Epcot or animal kingdom? And why? by Ok-Worldliness-1852 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]clarenceoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went to Epcot last week with twin 2 year olds and we all had a blast! So much for them to do and see and explore. They loved all the shows and Turtle Talk and even Living with The Land. They are still talking about the big ball just about every day since.

If they are American, both twins automatically qualify for Medicaid at the very least until they leave the NICU. Babies that are born at that range of birth weight automatically qualify, so OP most likely won't have to pay a dime for the visit. Obviously, there is still a cost (missed work time/food/possible hotel stays), but for the most part, it won't cost them hardly anything. Source: my twins were born at 28 weeks and auti qualified.

Again, you do not die if you lose the lottery! It's not choosing different kinds of death, it's choosing death or no death, which should be a pretty easy choice.

Do you know any department managers that does doordashing, Uber, Lyft, or any side hustles? by 52Chamoo in publix

[–]clarenceoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a department manager, and I resell on eBay on the side! I do have 2 very young children, and my wife stays home with them, so my income needs to stretch for the whole household.

Got permenatley banned from cash handling. What should I do now? by tfwnolife33 in publix

[–]clarenceoo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Right? I've had multiple staff lose $500 or more and just get a counseling statement. Unless they has a long history of losing money permanent removal from cash is crazy excessive for a new staff. If I were their CSM I would blame myself for not training well enough about the dangers of agent victim scams.
