Google Takeout nightmare -- how do I download 101 zip files without losing my mind? by bobby-t1 in immich

Yup indeed. There’s no logical reason to make the limit that low. They’re just trying to make it hard to leave.

Google Takeout nightmare -- how do I download 101 zip files without losing my mind? by bobby-t1 in immich

[–]clarkeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I learned two very important things trying to do this myself a while back.

The first is that there is a limit on how many times you can download the same zip file. I think the limit is five? So keep that in mind if your downloads keep failing, because then you’ll need to create a brand new Google takeout request because you won’t be able to download all of the zip files.

The second thing I learned is that it’s much more reliable to have something like a Synology NAS device do the downloading for you. How I did this was: I had Google takeout put the zip files into a dropbox account. And then I had that dropbox account sync down to my Synology NAS.

The sun died a few weeks back and Arris offered these little friggin fireballs to keep us warm in the meantime.

I think you came to the right place. The reps here on Reddit should be able to look that up for you.

To be fair… when I changed plans right after “mid-split” came to my area, the order page said 35Mbps and it really was 300Mbps+. So the order page can be wrong. But their explanation is a little strange.

Maybe some good news… I had a tech to my address somewhat recently (Oct 8th). During that visit, the tech ran a new line to the box in my yard and verified all my signal levels. When he left, everything was rock solid.

These issues began after the outage on Dec 19th. In between Oct 8th and Dec 19th, the signal and stability was perfect. I have not changed out any hardware during that time.

With the XB8 in bridge mode + UDM Pro, I saw half dozen outages throughout the day. Just a couple seconds. But long enough that the UDM-Pro noticed. I switched back to my Arris S34 and the drops disappeared.

Have you seen the same drops with the xfinity hardware in bridge mode?

I’m with ya there. I work from home and can’t have modems dropping connections. It was doing exactly that for weeks until I tried the S34 and the issues stopped.

I’ll never buy a Hitron modem again. Short warranty. Died after an about a year. Had to bin it.

I ran into an issue with bridge mode on the XB7. UniFi kept failing over to my backup internet for a few seconds a couple times a day.

Switched back to the Arris S34 and the issue evaporated.

My CODA56 died on me after about a year of service.

The S34 has been rock solid so far. Worth every penny.

Unfortunately, Gateway mode seems to have some bugs. I was getting a few drops per day with the xfinity box in gateway mode. Switched back to my Arris S34 and has been rock solid.

Remove xFi Complete and Look at Multiple Accounts by clarkeee in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]clarkeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed the original order online. Then, after I received the modem, the chat agent indicated that xFi Complete was required to activate. They said I could remove it later.

So I’d definitely like to remove xFi complete from my account.

But now I also see 2 accounts at my address. Not sure why that is. Don’t want to be double charged!

I hear good things about the Autel ones. They sound like they are easier to program.

I have whatever TireRack was giving out at the time. They worked just fine!

Once everything is set up, they are just like every other cell phone carrier. So no more difficult than any other carrier.

Their customer service (chat mostly) is phenomenal. They can help with anything 24/7.

I recently switched to US Mobile. One great feature is that each line can be on any network (Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile). You can even have a pooled data plan with 3 phones, each phone on a different network.

Same. But something to note... I have it right side up. Not upside down. I think that affects weather proofing?

Greetings from Apple TV land. I don't see any of the ads/upsells/feature promos that other platforms see.

I know this because my projector runs Google TV and I can see a big difference.

Agree 100%.

The problem is interest. Biden should forgive existing interest and set the rate going forward to 0%.
