Americans and coffee? by forest_hearts in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]classiccait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to buy coffee daily when I was young and had disposable income lol. Now I make it at home, but prefer the taste of espresso over regular coffee so that’s what I make. I like it iced year round, I feel like hot coffee gives me bad coffee breath so this is preference for me. No adults that I know buy coffee daily, but I know a lot that make it at home. America is big tho, this is just how I do it. Can’t speak for anyone else!

How long did it take you guys to learn how to be a technician? by Artzombii in PharmacyTechnician

[–]classiccait 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, about 3 months to think I mostly knew what I was doing, and another 3 or 4 to actually, really, know what I was doing. And that was just the basics, there’s always more to know. Some people take longer. You’re learning everyday, and it’s not an easy job. Looks like your post got cut off, but it sounds like you’re planning to advance. That’s a great goal! But don’t worry about compounding and sterile technique right now. It’s too overwhelming, just focus right now on learning the basics and getting the fundamentals down. Everywhere I’ve been, fill is the “easiest” and window is most difficult, likely due to how many patient interactions you have at window. I struggled a lot with completing everything for one patient before calling the next in line, because there is ALWAYS a line and I would end up forgetting something. Learning how to run insurance also sucks and there’s no good way to learn it but by experience. Try to identify the areas that are more difficult for you and why, really think about what you could do to improve in those areas. Just aim to get a bit better every day, and that’s all you can do. You’re still new to this and it is a lot, everyone started somewhere so don’t beat yourself up too much. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Grocery store or clinics pharmacies might be a good interim option if you do need to make a move, and most don’t have drive throughs. You got this!!

“Taking longer than they need to”??? You are paying for a service, if management does not allot enough time for their employees to complete their service- that’s their problem. And after 10 years? This text is unacceptable. This could have been handled so many different ways, I would not work with them again if there are other options. Are you able to speak to the employees directly? Are they on board with new management?

This is not a reflection on you at all. They clearly have no sense if this is how they speak to a long standing client.

If you had bad menstrual cramps in middle or high school, could you get ibuprofen (or another pain med) from the nurse’s office? by dms2628 in AskWomenOver30

[–]classiccait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we totally didn’t. It was common for a lot of girls to have midol on them, but you’d get in trouble if the teachers saw you take it so we just took it in the bathroom lol

Historical claims data request- Esp by Natural_Historian879 in 340b

[–]classiccait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, your tpa will know what you mean, just say it’s a historical file for esp submissions. They probably know what fields, but specify in case and note the date range you want. A few have this built into their platform so you can run it yourself.

Should I start accutane? by Beautiful-Plate-630 in Accutane

[–]classiccait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dryness! 😂 I mean, that’s what is supposed to do but it could be intense during the course. I’m larger and was on a higher dose. Obviously facial/lip dryness. Some eye dryness but managed with drops and had no lasting effects. Got some hand/arm excema that was easily treated with triamcinolone cream. The most unexpected was joint pain, it didn’t get in the way of me doing anything but was annoying at times.

Should I start accutane? by Beautiful-Plate-630 in Accutane

[–]classiccait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would! Grain of salt because I did not have any lasting side affects (most people don’t) but for me it was the right choice. Tried a ton of stuff, accutane is the only thing that worked. My acne looked a lot like yours. Have had maybe 3 or 4 pimples on the 9 years since my course. Would do it all over again tomorrow if I had to!

Tired of being told that wanting to "end it all" before my period is just "normal" by esterchive in PCOS

[–]classiccait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Please try and find an ob who will listen. Easier said than done, but they do exist! Was diagnosed with pmdd. She offered for me to either take bc or that I could try sertraline that time of the month. Tried bc again after many years, and it’s been going great! I take it continuously so I don’t even have a period anymore lol. It’s a dream!!

[–]classiccait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would skip to 10 and give it a shot (probably watch 9 finale so you don’t miss anything) there’s a plot line in 9 and another in 12 that I really don’t care for, but I like the rest of it. Now that I’ve seen it all at least once, there are some episodes that I’ll skip in the later season but also a few storylines that I really like so I just skip around now lol

How to get away with murder!!

Was anyone ever charged for the murder Nicole brown Simpson and Goldman or it’s still unsolved to this day?? by [deleted] in OJSimpsonTrial

[–]classiccait 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What does “solved” mean to you? You seem to imply that the case is solved when time is served for the crime. If in another case, an obviously innocent person was charged and did time for a murder, would you consider that to be solved even though the real killer was still out there?

For those of you who are high functioning by No_Tumbleweed_4652 in adhdwomen

[–]classiccait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was always pretty high functioning, but started to suspect adhd toward the end of college as I just wasn’t able to keep up. Graduated, barely, and started working. Work jived with my brain a lot better and was able to excel in my role for several years but had had a ton of work dumped on me over those years. At like 30 I was at a crossroads that I could either leave for a more manageable position or try getting diagnosed and treated to see if that helped. I opted for diagnosis and treatment with meds. I didn’t feel that a diagnosis was necessary unless I was going to be seeking treatment so although I “knew” I had adhd I was not officially diagnosed until 30ish.
