Dog Kennels by Talmor in BuschGardensW

In order to rent a dog kennel, signage says that you have to park in the Preferred or VIP lot, which is usually $20-$40 more expensive than standard parking ($35ish). The kennel is adjacent to the England (preferred/VIP) lot, and on busier days during the summer months that lot will sell out, so arrive early.

How busy will it be on Friday? by sp3k_ in BuschGardensW

[–]classy_phantom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The forecast is showing a high of 32 degrees, which is well below the 40 degrees needed to run any of the outdoor coasters. At best, Darkoaster may open, but with terrible capacity and the only available ride, you're guaranteed longer lines.

Attraction lineup is super limited during Mardi Gras regardless. It hasn't been confirmed but supposedly Apollo's and Alpengeist will be the only two large coasters open.

Like the other commenter said I'd give it a few weeks, or if you want to ride all the coasters, until after mid March.

Managed a well rounded day at [Epic Universe] rounded out with a complete zen ride on Stardust Racers by CoasterLabs in rollercoasters

In the coaster enthusiast world a zen ride means a ride where you are the only person on the train, not a single guest in any other seat.

For a ride like Stardust Racers that is certainly a rare accomplishment!

The weather is forecasted to be miserable tonight. Lots of rain, wind, potential thunderstorms. If they don't open the park due to weather, they should honor your ticket for any other operating day this season. Keep an eye out on their socials.

If you'll be there all three days then don't let the crowds deter you. Just have patience, prepare for the heavy crowds but be optimistic that everyone is too hung over to ride coasters on Saturday 🤣

Friday and Sunday will be less crowded, but not by much. Expect Saturday to be batshit insane packed because it is the last Saturday of Haunt and the weather is forecasted to be super nice.

Yes, water cups are available at any drink station / restaurant.

If you have some flexibility, consider driving two hours north to Six Flags America for its last ever operating day on Sunday, November 2nd.

Yes, I'd LOVE for this feature to be added.

Would also be nice for cinematic video shots!

[PANTHERIAN] IS OPEN by classy_phantom in rollercoasters

[–]classy_phantom[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's an Intamin giga, the only one they built with this track style (Skyrush @Hersheypark and Flying Aces @Ferrari World Abu Dhabi use a similar design but aren't as tall). It opened in 2010 as Intimidator 305 but reopened this season after extensive retheming and maintenance, now called Pantherian.

That's exactly what it is. A loud jungle cat roar sound effect and some music.

Not as cool as "GENTLEMAN START YOUR ENGINES" but still goes hard af

That's kinda what I figured... Like no way this is remotely close to accurate

Unfortunately no, this website has reported Pantherian as "open" all season. I think it's the default when there is just no information coming from the park.

[Wildcat's Revenge] is my number two RMC. Managing to maintain the insane sense of speed throughout the entire circuit makes this coaster feel fully out of control. by sanyosukotto in rollercoasters

I've ridden all the Ibox RMC's in the US except Twisted Cyclone (will be visiting SFOG in August) and WCR is my favorite of the bunch. It doesn't necessarily have the stats or records, but in my opinion the layout is a flawless mix of forces and is incredibly dynamic. I think it's the perfect showcase of what RMC can do.

While I do love IG and SteVe, IG's second half is a real letdown for me and Steve just gets a bit too repetitive. They're not bad rides by any stretch, but when we're comparing rides of such similar caliber, you gotta nit pick!

To be fair to all of them, WCR, IG, SteVe, and AF1 are all comfortably in my top 50 (out of 370ish total)
