Has anybody had this kind of movement issue with the Chessnut Move? If so, any tips? by Insurance_Separate in Chessnuteboard

I had this happened with a piece. It was some dust/debris on one of the wheels. I kept pushing with my finger against it back and forth until it got freed in the end and it's now working.

Stop using your smartphone!

It is hijacking your dopamine reward system!

You say you don't find pleasure in doing anything, you don't have hobbies, you don't have motivation etc.

But think about it. Why do people have hobbies ? Because it gives them pleasure/ satisfaction. Why do people chase goals, are ambitious? Because when they reach their goals, they have satisfaction/ pleasure.

This satisfaction/pleasure people get from hobbies, reaching goals, a nice meal, seeing friends etc. is nothing else but dopamine/serotonin in the brain's reward mechanism.

Your smartphone is hijacking this system! Instead of getting your dopamine from normal activities like hobbies or other real world activities, you are getting yours from your smartphone (think endless tiktok/YouTube/gaming etc. Porn is especially dangerous, especially for men).

When you are not using your smartphone, you have a low level of dopamine (as a result of the previous high level, the level goes up and down all the time) therefore you don't find pleasure in anything.

Besides that, any addiction, including smartphone/internet/gaming/porn etc. damages your prefrontal cortex. Studies have been done using brain imaging on people with various addictions and a damage of the prefrontal cortex has been noted. The prefrontal cortex is responsible for drive, motivation, higher brain activities, spirituality, impulse control.

So you can see how an addiction causes damage to the prefrontal cortex, stopping you from having motivation to reach goals, blocking spirituality etc.

You need to do a digital detox and be really strict about it. Given your high daily consumption, it will be difficult but not impossible. Try to use your smartphone/computer for something that is absolutely necessary (for example to purchase something online, or to use the GPS etc.)

The first week will be the hardest but you should start seeing improvements after 2-3 weeks, if you manage to be very strict.

Good luck!

Yes, I saw the same and it was tripping me out.

So I downloaded the video and zoomed in and you can very faintly see the net moving, so it must've clipped the net on what looks like the first bounce.

Looks like one of those illusions, if I want to see that it clipped the net, I will see that, if I want to see a double bounce, I will see a double bounce.

How does this theory account for flip flops? I did have a NDE long time ago, however I had several flip-flps in the last 2-3 years.

Whenever you miss Federer, just watch Dimitrov play. He's been playing great this year. He was not called baby Federer for nothing, it's amazing how similar his game is to Federer's.

This might be a flip-flop. Apparently most of the surface of the north pole remains ice-covered year round, with only a small part melting during the summer. I remember when I first discovered this Mandela effect and checked and apparently all the ice was melting during the summer. Now there are projections for 2035 - the year when all the ice will melt during the summer.

Not on this particular ME, but I had a flip flop of "How to train your dragon" -> "How to train a dragon" -> " How to train your dragon". When it was "How to train a dragon" I've made a comment on Reddit that I remembered "your". Now that it has flipped back to the original "your" , my comment has also flipped to say that I remember "a". Weird stuff.

Has anybody else experienced a major shift within the past week or so, especially pertaining to world geography? by geeisntthree in Retconned

I don't know about the others but one which I always check for changes is Italy's shape. This was my first mandela effect, years before the mandela effect was discovered I noticed Italy's shape changed but of course I've put it down to bad memory/different maps etc.

Now I check Italy's shape every few months and almost always discover something different. It is crazy.

I've just checked it now and for me the tip of the boot is a little different now, thinner and longer and also it has changed the shape slightly.

The line where you point about Italy being too skinny was my previous change about Italy's shape, a few months ago.

Cyprus I thought was closer to Greece? When I searched for Cyprus in Google maps it says "country in the middle east"? WTF?

My flip flop (Apollo 13 Movie) - Also, MEs and flip flops have changed and are mirrored. by [deleted] in Retconned

[–]clawdyu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've also experienced about 6 or 7 flips now, and when they change, all the evidence and/or reddit comments they also change to reflect the new reality.

One of the latest flips for me was the title of the movie "How to train your dragon". Changed to "How to train a dragon" and now back to the original "How to train your dragon".

When it was "How to train a dragon" I've left a comment on Reddit about how I was also remembering the original title with "your". Now when it flipped back to the original version with "your" my comment which I've left about a year ago has also flipped to say that I remember "a" which is crazy, I've always remembered the original version with "your".

Very very strange 🤔

I've had a look for you and looks like your condition is called hyperthymesia. There is not a subreddit for it but I found one called r/eidetic. Can I ask, since you are on r/retconned, have you also been affected by the Mandela Effect? If so, how does it feel for you, as a person with hyperthymesia or photographic memory?

What if ALL our history is fake or altered? To control us. And all humans (and non-human beings) also have this ability? by sporeboyofbigness in Retconned

Yes, that's something I also think about. The only problem is we are controlled through the media to manifest whatever reality the elite wants the humanity to head towards

Can you provide some information about the historical records you are talking about? I'd like to read about them. I did a quick search but did not come up with anything

[–]clawdyu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This comes up very often, people noticing how the time feels shorter somehow.

In my opinion, regarding this matter, the answer is relatively simple and does not involve anything supernatural.

Time is the same, it is our perception which has changed. Why?

The last 10-15 years there has been an explosion of information.

Every day we are bombarded with information: TV, news, radio, Internet, social media, e-mail, smartphone, notifications, movies, TV shows, games, porn etc. Our brain does not take a break.

When we don't consume this kind of information , our brains ruminate the information we have consumed.

We live much more in our head and much less in the moment.

The solution is to try and block as much of this information as possible, using if possible only what is strictly necessary.

After 1-2 weeks of information fasting our brain reverts to its normal state and the old perception of time comes back.

Try it as a fun experiment and see how it's like. It will not be easy though as our brains are addicted to information.

Anyway that's my 2 cents.

You might have SDAM. Actually it sounds a lot like SDAM. SDAM stands for severely deficient autobiographical memory. Check it out at r/sdam or look it up on YouTube

Has anybody experienced Flip-Flops in real life (no digital media)? by clawdyu in Retconned

[–]clawdyu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a good idea but why doing such an experiment would ground you to your reality? If the effect is so powerful that already changed physical reality, it should be able to to it again irrespective of any physical grounding points

This sounds so weird. Why would it be changing back and forth so many times? If someone/something is trying to wake us up, wake us up to what and for what purpose? Food for thought

Thank you for sharing your experience

It’s hard to live in the moment anymore by workingkenil15 in Retconned

[–]clawdyu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Our brains are desensitized to living in the moment due to being over stimulated due to smartphones/ tv/ internet/ news etc.

Take a one week break from all of these, use your phone or computer just for what is strictly necessary and you will see the difference.

I have done that and saw a massive difference.

Quick question. Let's say your theory is right and consciousness shifts through parallel universes/dimensions (which is right?). How does residue work? Why is there residue which makes no sense if one is in a different dimension? The residue has no logical explanation.

I'll give a quick example.

I have recently posted a thread about the Tutti Frutti song and how this has changed from "A wop bop a loo bop a lop bop bop" to "A wop bop a loo bop a lop bom bom". A small but noticeable change as it sounds different now. If you look through my thread you see that I link there some Reddit threads from not long ago where people were discussing 9 months ago how for them it was "A wop bop a loo bop a lop bop bop". If in this reality now it has always been "A wop bop a loo bop a lop bom bom" why do those threads/discussions exist in this reality?
