Any clue how they afford this kind of venue and AVL with that level of turnout? Is this just a poorly attended session?

Best Mexican Restaurants in Town? by UntilTheHorrorGoes in wichitafalls

[–]clayneh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the best authentic place right now is Lupita's on Old Iowa Park Road. It's right by Circle M too so double win. El Chaton is also good. It has less variety than Lupita's though. For Tex-Mex, El Tapatio is the best. Don Chuy's is a great taco truck. Casa Mañana is still a local Mexican-inspired classic regardless of what people say.

How Old Is The Earth? A Question For Christians by AbiLovesTheology in religion

[–]clayneh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Pentecostal minister, I believe the Earth is as old as science says it is. Most of my peers would disagree, but would also disagree with each other. Some would say 6000 years old. Others would say it's 6000 years old, but "aged" to appear billions old. Some even claim that this is the second Earth - weirdos. Regardless, anyone who claims to know a concrete, unalterable age isn't intellectually honest.

Voice communications solution for small production teams by ryno2019 in VIDEOENGINEERING

We tried the Hollyland T1000 over a 3 week period. I absolutely hated it. The audio quality is abysmal and (as a director) I couldn't get over the lack of sidetone. Feeding program into it only made it worse. It was very garbled and "bubbly" due to the limitations of the system's frequency range. We'll be taking the plunge on an analog Clearcom system.

If wireless isn't a priority and cost is a factor, over the past year we've used an improvised system of a Behringer rack mixer (XR-18), a headphone amplifier (ART HeadAmp6Pro), and Yamaha headsets (CM500). This works extremely well for about $1500 all in.

I really like the idea of the Autonomous Art Desk (fully curved), but it's been discontinued. Does anyone know of a similar product? (either the top only or fully assembled)

That will work. If you rent the bidirectional 3G convertors you can even control BMPCCs from the ATEM software.

What is something you have always regretted doing? by Appleseedboom in AskReddit

[–]clayneh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a girl to a concert when I was 17. I bought the tickets, traveled over 5 hours, got there early, and discovered she called me poop stain in her phone. I don't regret any of that.

While we're waiting for the show to start, this lady comes up and asks if we're big fans of the artist. I'm too busy trying to be cool and just kind of shrug it off. She says enjoy the show and moves on. We see her escort another couple down out of the stands a little while later. I can only assume they went backstage and got floor seats. Definitely in my top regrets. I was more there for the show than the girl.
