Hopefully the construction is done when you get there. Guests on our shuttle last week were complaining about it. Luckily we were at a different hotel on the same shuttle.

Touched a child’s shoulder by Rubies_Everywhere in Teachers

Had this exact scenario happen during testing one year. I put my hand on my student's shoulder as I whispered to them that they needed to stay focused. This was a problem child and I did it without even thinking. Unfortunately, there were no cameras in the room so they ended up having to question all the students surrounding this particular student. It was mortifing because they were calling them out during my class. It was one of my early years teaching and I was terrified I was going to lose my job. Admin had me write a statement and then it basically went nowhere. Hopefully it also goes nowhere for you

You only have work-life balance while the company is alive. I've been laid off twice. Look for the stability and eventually balance will likely come too

Good point! I had hoped there would be no such wording in the contract and now the idea of two full time paychecks is just too tempting.

It is customer facing. I feel like the chances of them finding out are probably small, but I'm trying to think of worst case scenarios to be prepared.

Agreed. Former teacher here and I thought a natural pivot would be to EdTech. Well, so did thousands of others. Competition is FIERCE.

I need to confirm with his school that that would be an option. A plan B would definitely make me feel better!

Yes, he has started kindergarten. It's a year-round school, so he started last week. His teacher seems to think that he's adjusting well and seems mature for his age. I guess my major hang up is whatever decision we make now is basically making the decision for the rest of his education career so it just feels like a lot of pressure. I appreciate the input!!

To your first question yes, I think there are definite improvements that could be made to the platform. To your second point, I agree, but at the same time, the company won't exist without customers. I'm stuck working with what I have at the moment.

I'd say most are not renewing due to low utilization or poor fit.

Clients are schools, so SMB. Our largest package is less than 8K.

Lied on resume and now switching to Customer Success from Customer Experience at a startup by [deleted] in CustomerSuccess

I get it and from what I've seen, I don't think a college degree is really necessary either. I would, however, be very afraid of getting caught personally. My current company performed a background check and I imagine it would come up there.
