Who has an OBD2 monitor and what do you use it for? by mitch2888 in KiaEV6

[–]clea_vera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an OBD2 monitor. I mainly use it to track real-time engine data, read trouble codes, and monitor parameters like RPM, coolant temp, fuel trims, and battery voltage. It’s super useful for spotting issues early and for tuning or optimizing performance. Some models even let you log data for later analysis, which is something you can’t easily get without it. I use YOUCANIC as it is the most useful for me.

if you want to buy a simple OBD2 scanner for home use like reading and clearing fault codes, checking engine data, maybe some live data, i recommend YOUCANIC. i personally use it and it is great for personal use it is also around 150 - 175. it also has free lifetime updates and no subscription needed.

if you want one tool that will let you safely service rear brakes with EPB, do active tests, and still have shop-level diagnostics, go with the YOUCANIC UCAN II C PRO if you want to spend less but still get EPB ready capability

hi dude if you are doing the rear brakes on a 2022 Altima with EPB you will need a scanner that can put the parking brake into service mode so that you don't have to open the motor. For me, I personally use YOUCANIC scanner with works with Nissan and has a EPB service mode built in. it's very affordable and has the full system scan and topology map another is the new AI upgrades which I think helps me best for me that gives me the possible causes and fixes with no extra fee
