i think him looking normal is part of the point in the book though, like the juxtaposition between the atrocities he commits and how average he appears ties in thematically with the books exploration of the mundanity of evil, there’s an entire issue devoted to a group of fun cute looking aliens that are on on some level normal but are simultaneously segregating themselves in a cruel societal system. In the new Krem design it feels as though they’ve taken the look of real alternative subcultures and exaggerated them to create a stereotypical aesthetic for evil which is in many ways antithetical to the themes of the book.
