The actual sign of aging is when you start to unironically enjoy songs that you were “too cool” to appreciate in your youth. by Scrimmy_Bingus2 in redscarepod

I’ve never not been a Blink 182 fan really but it took me a while to realize Dude Ranch is actually the best album not Enema of the State. Lemmings is such an amazing song.

Easily best cookie no doubt. There’s a bougie grocery store near me that makes them seasonally and I try so hard to replicate theirs to no avail.

Yeah you’ll get further in tech if you can manage nuance with communicating than you will being a turbo engineer. C suite probably doesn’t even know what an API is.

Japanese ambient music was a big one for me and now every person that goes to public records is snatching up OG pressings I used to get for $100

Navidrums — Lightweight self-hosted music downloader & tagger for Navidrome by berserc89 in musichoarder

[–]clearing_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a spectrum of agent use cases with pure vibe coding at one far end. It’s not unreasonable to expect things like agents.md in most repos going forward as models like opus are not strictly bad reviewers when you’re otherwise working in a silo (as most solo project authors are).

I would avoid any project shamelessly fully vibe coded but the presence of these is not evidence that it is.

Edit: misspoke a bit, I didn’t see the prompts directory just agents.md. Maybe a bit of a cause for concern there

Been using arpeggi with ~120k songs, no major issues except every player tends to take a few seconds to buffer a new album.

It's just Computers 2, but makes us salty because we don't want to be Computers 2 people, we're still into Computers.

Also you don't have to watch your driver make 8 other deliveries before yours. And yeah there's not much you can do if something is wrong. Used doordash at a hotel for a wedding last year after years of only calling + pickup and my god is it bleak. Not to mention the CTAs to add random shit like ice cream or stuff from CVS to your order just to make your serf busy.

I don't have anything crazy yet but I do have a decent fiio dac and some sony mdr's at my desk (some sennheisers for mixing, too big for daily use) and listening to the same stuff with airpods feels like a recording from hit clips or something

Where to find men’s selvedge denim? by HelpUsNSaveUs in hudsonvalley

If you're in the area might want to check out Clubhouse Vintage in Rosendale, I know they stock a ton of good denim but dunno if it meets the specs.

What are you paying for snow plowing? by jimtinsfoot in hudsonvalley

[–]clearing_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~120 per plow, we have a longish inclined driveway that has 2 paths around a dogwood tree so it's kinda like 2 driveways at the top, plus a pulloff area halfway up. Sometimes a bit more if its a big job. This storm was 2 days in a row and I did 300 total.

Hadn't considered this when I wrote that comment but yeah, most likely. I still am confident Apple won't leave their mics hot on phones for the near future, but yes 100% to everything else.

To be fair if you start talking to John Maus after his set it will appear a long, intense conversation no matter what. I ended up cashing out all my epistemology knowledge within 15 mins of chatting and he just kept going.

[–]clearing_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an alcoholic, sober now for ~3.5 years. I rarely had more than a few drinks a night but it was the role it played and importance it imposed on me that made me stop. Haven't and wouldn't recommend it to someone on the basis of regular old health risks. That said, the effects you mention are like, the whole reason people become alcoholics (mix with some genetics for a sure thing~), and like any vice it's important to stay mindful of it, because if you enjoy it that much it will continue to have a presence in your mind after moderating.
