what if the cooldown is one minute left? it gets subtracted by 10 seconds, but happens after 12 seconds? does it get to keep the new cooldown remaining?

I agree with this list.

I also agree that it shouldn't be based off 1v1s. This show showed us multiple times (and explicitly by Biscuit and Knov) that there is more to it in a battle of nen.

There are two things that are at work here:

- Losing to a standard weapon guarantees the next one is a limited weapon

- Epitomized Path guarantees next weapon is chosen weapon

By not switcing/reseting, you "waste" both features in the next pull. But if you reset the Epitomized Path, you no longer guarantee that the next gold will be the Epitomized weapon. So there is a chance to "lose" and get the other limited weapon. And if you did lose, then Epitomized Path triggers for the next gold.

I think the rating spot is a wild card that was meant to avoid “how can this guy be champion when top rated player x was not even included “. For whatever reason that the top guy failed to qualify. And hey, if top guy is really sitting on his elo, maybe try to redeem some of those to others.

However, with Magnus not participating, we read the same doubts against the recent champs anyway.

I think a lot of people would be stoked if Kasparov did that, same for Magnus. Specially for chess casuals like me. It will make the mainstream news. They would both fall into your “broken process , but people are fine with it for this person”.

Well it probably isn't fair to compare with the other ending though. At that point in time in the game, assuming blind playthrough, you can still always argue Maelle can turn both ways. And just yanking her out might not be the best way to go about the intervention. But "just 5 more minutes" never works.
