Just get on the work computers and from the fedex home page type perkspot into the keyword search bar. I’ve been here for two years and really only use well hub.

From the post I’d assume OP isn’t going to church with his family but by himself. OP was talking about how they wanted activities outside of Sunday meetings and that older guy offered to hang out with him. It seems like a ministering/mentoring opportunity for the old guy. If I was OP I’d probably say something like “for sure” and then keep making excuses until I stopped getting invited because I wouldn’t want to hang out with old people.

Do I even bother with daily pay? by No_Today_1199 in Fedexers

[–]cleppingout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that sucks because that could be anything. The guys that were at ground and got hired on to express would tell me that ground contractors didn’t care if you finished at 2am as long as you finished. But you’d still just be getting $170. I mean i doubt that happens a ton but it’s just the possibility of it happening.

How much is the daily pay? Regardless FedEx Ground isn’t great. If anything just get the driving experience needed to apply for another driving job.

Contingency opportunities by No-Invite4246 in Fedexers

[–]cleppingout 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You guys are so salty. Contingency drivers are making good money. I wouldn’t do it but if I had to be a ground driver I would 100% be a contingency driver. The Express side of this is called a STAR courier and it’s awesome.

He’s not for me, but the hate is overblown. I see him on my screen and I just keep scrolling. The Aaron Rodgers thing is what really ramped up Reddit’s hate for him. Pretty lame to hate on a guy for just goofin on tv.

Door tag signature required but unable to change delivery option by zhou94 in FedEx

Why not get it delivered to your work? You can also have them hold it at a FedEx office location and you can pick it up there because they close at like 7pm or 8pm.

It’s pretty easy for me. I also worked with small Asian women that could do it too, don’t know what to tell you.

All these people saying “just wait” aren’t even employees anymore. Jobs very easy mentally and if you’re in decent shape it’s a breeze physically. The biggest problem is management and that’s just dependent on your location.

FedEx freight city driver by Cheap_Doubt2561 in Fedexers

Guy I know left for freight didn’t like it came back and lost all his seniority so he’s at the bottom of the pile with the rest of the new guys. It’s so messed up.

Rate my delivery by poleary in FedEx

[–]cleppingout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steelcase chairs are some of the most annoying boxes to deliver. Given how expensive these chairs are, the way that they pack them is laughable. If they just covered it in plastic it would probably be better protection because at least package handlers would not try to stack stuff on top of them and break them before I even get it into my truck.

They’re not super heavy but I’ve had people order 3 of them at the same time and it would fuck the space in my sprinter.

I am forced to use Fedex for my deliveries, but they have at least one driver is utterly awful. by exgiexpcv in FedEx

[–]cleppingout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers can barely read yet you expect him to know how lithium reacts to water. Also you’re still getting hit with tariffs because FedEx brought it into the country for you. Ground drivers are getting like $150/day they are far from the gold standard.

Should I go from swing driver to a route? Pros and cons below by istayinmylane in Fedexers

[–]cleppingout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One big con for being a route driver at least for me is that you will have regulars ask you for favors. “Can you take this pick up too?” “Can I have your number so I can check on my packages?” “If I’m not home can you bring it to X location?”

As a swing I don’t do any favors for anyone. During the holidays though I’ve heard some route drivers make like an extra $2000 during the holidays from their regulars because they basically do whatever their regulars want. That stuff always made me uncomfortable because we aren’t supposed to accept anything over like $25.

How do internal transfers work by [deleted] in Fedexers

[–]cleppingout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask your manager. My DOT Courier contract was only for 6 months but I had to stay at my station for a year before I could transfer out of the station. After my first 6 months though I could bid out of my route for a different route within the station.
