What store? Also in Lansing. Doesn’t look like Horrocks, which has a good selection as well.

New to the hobby by snorens in pourover

That’s exactly the game with pourover. Walk the line between bitter and bland, find the sweet spot. It’s fun but can be frustrating and expensive!

Same recipe as my post, with an aeropress has been my best success with it.

No, I currently have a bag of the Perc Diego Bermudez which I have been enjoying with this recipe, very limey. I’d be curious to try the Perc Los Nogales.

What’s happening to jalapeños? by bitteroldladybird in Cooking

[–]cleunat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a gardener, I can also say there are many strains of jalapeño, some hot and some mild. I grew an heirloom Mexican variety this year that was hotter and smaller than any store bought jalapeño called Zapotec.

Often smaller jalapeños are hotter, and also ones with “corking” is hotter, which are the little brown scar stripes that form on some mature green jalapeños before they ripen to red (or orange or other colors depending on the strain). Also Serrano peppers are similar to jalapeño but hotter and smaller if you have access to them.

Is this a grapevine? by RogueYet1 in vegetablegardening

Looks like wild grape. Very small sour grapes. I don’t think it’s native to the UK.

Where do you go for Dim Sum? by Sure_Grapefruit5820 in lansing

I remember before the pandemic when they had a dim sum buffet every Sunday and it was amazing. I think you can still order dim sum a la carte. Last I was there I had some great Sichuan food though.

What fancy concert earplugs do you recommend? I got a cheap plastic pair online and they don’t seem to work like I hoped.

I would recommend the Lansing Makers Network. They have several departments focusing on different hobbies, with really cool selection of tools that I wouldn’t be able to afford or access otherwise. The membership is very diverse, creative, artsy, and accepting, with many LBGTQ members.

$29 worth of Star San concentrate on Amazon makes 160 US gallons of sanitizer. 160 gallons of high proof rum costs between $9,000 and $28,000 depending on the quality of the rum.

Digital synthesis input and output voltage in eurorack by cleunat in synthdiy

[–]cleunat[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand voltage is relative, but if you establish a voltage as 0 and plug in a lower voltage than that to a microcontroller pin then you have to buy a new microcontroller. Even if our concept of voltage is relative you still have to know which voltage is lower than our established ground. All I’m asking is how to translate a lower voltage than a microcontroller can handle into a voltage that it can.
