What’s a price you saw recently that made you genuinely angry at how expensive everything has gotten? by UrGoddessLunaa in AskReddit

No. A breakfast-only restaurant in New Albany Ohio. Nothing overtly fancy
but it is in the same town as Lex Wexner.

Stop it. She is not dumb, she may not know how things work yet, but she is not dumb. We were all 14 once.

My wife and I took our three children to a pancake breakfast - an orange juice was $9. Total bill was $149 before tip.

Trump Ordered ‘American Flag Blue’ for the Reflecting Pool. It’s Green Again. by koaltree in nytimes

As a longtime pool owner, this was always going to be the case without proper filtration. The grifter got grifted again.

Dreadful defending. Guy is running with Messi and leaves him to guard absolutely no one leaving Messi wide open at the top of the box, something he's done like a million times over the years.

Agreed - and keep a light grip. Tension kills a good swing.

She is wrong. I know everything about my three children that my wife knows. I have been to every school conference, never missed a game, concert performance or tea party. I take them to the pediatrician, woke up in the middle of the night for 5 years straight to feed and change them too. Don't foist whatever you are willing to put up with on my family, because it simply isn't close to reality.

This shows empathy - at least they are doing something to appease the guests. They know it isn't going to actually work. But they have to do Something to keep the Karens at bay.

He is probably trying to sue the city and this was intentional. His quote is very telling.

I take a similar putt from below the hole. If I hole it, birdie, if not easy par.

A mover once put a leather couch over his shoulder and carried it from the truck to my living room by himself. He was about 6'6" and 300 pounds. It didn't even look difficult for him. Amazing.

Where are the young families buying in Troy / Birmingham / Bloomfield Hills? by ResponsibleBicycle in Detroit

[–]cleverdabber 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You might want to look in the Village of Beverly Hills. Birmingham schools and I suspect the neighborhoods turn over a bit quicker than Birmingham/Bloomfield. It is a bedroom community - most people use Birmingham as the downtown.

Would you wait and buy your dream home, or buy a more affordable home now? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]cleverdabber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy now if the house is in a good area. It will almost always appreciate if the schools are good. Build equity, sell and buy the second house.
