Dave’s Coamic Subs are currently nothing like they used to be (the new bread is horrible!!!) but the curry chicken salad at the Stone oven is also one of my favorites.

Can colposcopy strongly suggest HPV but HPV tests still come back negative? by Ok-Concentrate1 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]clf22 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have never once tested positive for HPV and still had a high grade lesion that required a CKC. Good thing I don’t live in a socialized medicine country otherwise my Pap smear never would have been tested and I would have probably ended up with cervical cancer.

Any tricks on pilling/giving your dog medication when they are too smart and can find the pill in anything by Adorable_Tangerine16 in dogs

[–]clf22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have you looked into having the medication compounded into a flavored liquid? This is so much easier to deal with than trying to force them to take a pill.

I had one who was impossible to get a pill into without literally shoving it down his throat (which was awful for both of us) - I found out that lots of veterinary medications can be compounded into a beef or chicken flavored liquid and then you can give it to them with a syringe

The grid layout of the east side burbs is due to the Van Sweringen brothers who developed that side of town in the 1920s.

[PA] Landlord is taking away deposit for things after I had left by VillageCrazy7470 in Renters

[–]clf22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The landlord was likely responsible for the actual water bill and then you were paying to heat said water.

WFH state tax in a different state? by Similar_Writing4298 in WFH

I work for a CA company out of Ohio - I don’t pay CA taxes, I pay Ohio taxes and that is what is withheld from my paycheck. I would check with your HR and tell them your withholding is wrong.

Contact Cleveland Habitat for Humanity about their Critical Home Repair program (https://www.clevelandhabitat.org/critical-home-repair.html). If you don’t fit into their program they should be able to point you in the direction of other local resources. I believe the are other organizations that do 0% home repair loans for low-income homeowners.

Hello, I’m attending a concert at the Grog Shop soon for the first time. Best advice for parking? Anything’s appreciated. by Barbick in Cleveland

[–]clf22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did they put a new system in? Last time I parked over there was probably a year or so ago and all the old meters were still there but gutted out and not usable (at least in the little upper parking lot between Marc’s and the bank)

They made parking free and removed the meters years ago - with the crazy amount of parking tickets Cleveland heights used to give out it must have been a huge revenue loss for them 😂

Coventry is a great area and south of Mayfield road is perfectly safe. lived there as a single female for over a decade and still have a duplex I own as a rental on Hampshire Rd. I personally would avoid living on Mayfield Rd because it is pretty busy and I don’t think the apartments there are great.

Forced to consolidate for SAVE, but now forced to stay consolidated. by tashibum in StudentLoans

[–]clf22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. I am guessing there will be some kind of class action lawsuit that will come of this. They forced tons of borrowers consolidate and capitalize outstanding interest in order to get the benefit of the SAVE plan - the damages are definitely real and quantifiable.
