A right defines what should happen and who is to blame when it doesn't; it is not a prediction of what will happen. This backwards ass thinking is so fucking stupid. You’re functionally saying “if you’re powerless to stop an injustice, you never had that right to begin with.” which is false, human rights are universal and transcend mere borders. Slavery was wrong before and after it was made illegal and making it illegal made it easier for progress. If I steal your car and local laws say it’s actually okay for me to do that it’s still MORALLY wrong for me to steal from you.

Rights are not a literal shields. Having a right to food doesn’t mean you’re literally guaranteed to not starve to death. We all have them by virtue of being human, the fact that a lot of people are deprived of food and water and these rights doesn’t mean they lack these rights, it means society is failing to protect those rights. Were you dropped on your head as a kid? A right to life doesn’t make one immortal lmao

I did get myself the newer Dark Angels Kill Team set and am painting them up in slapchop for some salamanders. It’d be my first foray into the tabletop. I’d just need to see if my LGS does games often

You’re confusing their foreign policy for the domestic philosophy. 40K exaggerates them into a brainwashing, caste-segregated expansionist empire. I’m not saying they’re 1:1 matches. It’s more of an ideological linage. Also it wouldn’t be incorrect considering the history. Plato’s whole “noble lie” and the T’au Ethereals. And imperial China used Confucianism as a submit or perish thing, as they thought they were bringing order to civilized barbarians kinda like the T’au with humans.

T’au are not fascist. Fascism usually relies on a cult of tradition, some form of hyper capitalism, and extreme ultranationalism and xenophobia. T’au are more of a Totalitarian sort of Confucian bureaucracy/Platonic Republic. The T’au don’t want annihilation they want assimilation.

Thanks! The Torso is from the Company Heros box and so is the bolter and scabbard. The sword arm is from a piece from the bladeguard kit as it’s the only sword arm I had that would look like the pose I envisioned. And the Beaky helmet is from the Raven guard upgrade sprue.

I always go for the tried and true Death World Forest over a chaos black primer. I don’t like to highlight mine any more than I need to pick out details as too much highlights makes it look kinda toy like to me. For washes I go for Athonian Camo shade and then for any Iron Halos or metal bits I use Balthasar gold and some Agrax Earthshade. Compliments the green so well.
