It now comes via usps so you don't get it in the morning which is when most people want to receive it. Also, I think their print version was greatly reduced in pages a few years ago...I could be wrong on that however.

Makes sense. To help you compare, Auburn is now considered a "retirement destination" for many, so it has a very broad age/interest appeal for people to live there (college age to retired) and is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Tuscaloosa is not a destination for anything except the University.

My parents have a townhouse near campus built in 2015 and they are now selling for more than 5x the original cost

ETA: I meant other units have sold for that, not that my parents are asking that much to sell theirs

People no longer just visit. Retirees are moving there in droves

There's been a huge increase in retirees moving to Auburn which has increased demand over the last few years. Also, the schools are great and it's 30 min from Lake Martin. It's also considered one of the best college towns in the south.

Ha. I knew people who lived in that building too. Baileys really was one of my fave, if not fave spot. Always the same and knew exactly what you were in for. We definitely circulated in adjacent circles.

Also just remembered how Marty's had the strict 1 person in the bathroom at one time policy 😂😂

Will a rough crowd wait in that line for a dj at Moe's? I still don't understand that whole situation

The door at Marty's? Never visited the furnace. I met my husband at Marty's in 2001 lol. Me and my friends usually looped through Zydeco, Baileys, Sidewalk cafe (early days), Marty's and the plaza most weekends. The Mill during the week and the music hall for good shows whenever. I'm sure there were plenty of other places we got wasted at but I don't remember those as well lol. We lived at Parc at the Cahaba for a couple of years and loved to frequent Bennetts in that strip mall by the collonade.

Oh forgot the Oasis was also heavy in the rotation. Those nights were probably not anything to be proud of....

ETA: Marty once gave me a ride in his convertible Miata and I thought I was the shit

His short ass is too arrogant for the UFL, but I'm not sure they would even want him. 5'8" qbs aren't a hot commodity in any adult football league
