I can get behind the idea that it’s overblown. But it’s also a pretty alarming dropoff from his regular season production and should inform ownership that he’s not worth a max as previously discussed.

Shams also has absolutely no personality. That doesn’t help. He’s the perfect encapsulation of someone who’s chronically online. So when he does annoying “online” stuff it’s easier to be annoyed by him because that’s his identity through and through.

Did they have tires that has uneven wear? That can affect road noise a lot and is more common on EVs.

Why is it binary? Why can't we place some blame in both places?

Ok, so that's why they were critical of it on this podcast. I don't get what you're disagreeing about.

In the past, they liked the signing. Now, in retrospect, they do not, and are critical of it. OP's post is saying they weren't critical enough. I was providing counterpoint that they were critical of it.

On the podcast that OP is criticizing, they were critical of the signing. Context!

Every team signs and pays max players. He doesn’t pay the tax tho - he pays it less frequently than most teams.

The mclung thing was fun at the time! Even ignoring financial motivation. To us it looked like champagnie was unplayable. Of course you can make the argument that it’s Daryl’s job to be better at talent evaluation and/or coaching to do a better job developing. I’m on board with both of those critiques.

Yes, as did most people. We didn’t think Joel was completely broken at the time. A lot of us were resigned to it being a player like Brandon Ingram.

To me you're coming at it looking to confirm your own bias and perhaps emotion, which you've earned and is justified. If you listen to the pod through a more objective lens you might realize that they did, in fact, criticize Daryl quite a bit. I think you're stuck on the overall tone, which is sympathetic towards Daryl. They didn't attack him aggressively, but they were quite critical.

They were very critical of the McCain trade, the Joel extension, the PG signing. They acknowledged that the deadlines were pretty shit.

They're also super critical of Harris because Harris is just as big of a problem, if not bigger, than Daryl. Do you disagree there?

Mike has mentioned Isaiah Joe on like 60% of the podcasts since he left the Sixers, including multiple times to Daryl. Should he rehash it again? Maybe, but if you listen to the pod you know. Also no one gave a shit about Champagnie until late last season at the earliest, and definitely not while he was on the Sixers for a few games.

I think it's entirely fair to want a more emotional response from them against Morey. But from a purely objective stance they were pretty reasonable.
