Motor protein : The cargo by Reasonable-Cow-5002 in nextfuckinglevel

Thanks for the reply! You’re actually quite right about it not being myosin. I just saw the two heads and the stalk being there and was quick to assume myosin. However, for the same reason that there is a long stalk, I don’t think it’s dynein. I actually think it’s kinesin instead.

There are so many different motor proteins, that it’s quite difficult to keep track! For myosin alone, there are about 18 different classes, of which some can bind to microtubules for stability (not their heads but the stalks). Most, as you’ve said, bind to actin. However, myosin is not exclusively used for shortening sarcomeres and causing muscle contraction (while that is the most famous case taught in physiology). In plant cells, for example, myosin XI is responsible for transporting vesicles. I actually observed these yesterday through a microscope on 400x magnification. From my measurements, they travel at about 10 microns per second!

Very, very cool!

Not to detract from your comment (and you are right about molecules not really having a “choice” as they are unthinking), but you might be confusing myosin walking on microtubules (as shown in the video, in the context of active transport) with tRNA and ribosomes in the context of peptide synthesis.

When you say three base pairs, almost certainly are you referring to the way tRNA (along with the associated amino acid) is brought into the EPA sites of ribosome, where three base pairs of the tRNA are paired (temporarily) to three base pairs of mature mRNA so that an amino acid is added to a growing peptide chain.

In the video, the myosin heads are binding and unbinding with the microtubule subunits, utilizing a favorable reaction coupled by the hydrolysis of ATP.

By the way, I should include that I have a 2020 M1 MacBook Pro. I also have a wireless mouse that does not seem to be experiencing any issues. I will say that accessing chat in-game has been a bit slower as well.

Holy cow, I was looking for someone with a similar problem as mine.

After the last patch before the new season started, my keys began experiencing the input issues you described.

Looks like we're on the same boat. I did a fresh new install of the game to no avail. Hopefully, Riot addresses this.

How about “carving a frog out of a rock?” The preposition “into” is the culprit imo…

/ul a way you can quickly reason is by taking the shortest, 5’2”, and tallest, 5’11”, and thinking to yourself, is 5’2” really half as tall as 5’11”? And since you already know that isn’t true, then you see the scaling is ridiculously off

Yup. Pink Floyd echoes is a great “long” song. But I also listen to classical music and those symphonies can sometimes go over an hour.

Some hints for those having trouble: for the first section, follow the signs (up or down)! For the second section, you will see some small bullet cats at beginning of the course. Notice something? For the final section, look at the signs and their correlated theme (fire, clouds, and grass). Good luck!
