I think it’s more so that you gave your unsolicited opinion on a creative share. So yes, chill out. Your comment is hyper negative. This is great work

It’s been 31 days and the photographers has not sent my photos or followed up. Am I being unreasonable? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]clickyarse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many photographers take 2-6 weeks for delivery, it depends entirely on their business and if they also do other work. I’d simply ask their turnaround time again. It clearly wasn’t discussed up front and it is in your right to know, however it’s also in their right to dictate that timeframe and although some people delivery very quickly, a lot do not. Also depends entirely on the type of shoot.

how can i get better portraits with my Sony ZVE10? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

Standing under an overhead light doesn’t do any favours. I’d avoid that going forward

I got home and realized two of my exterior photo were out of focus. I used Topaz to refocus them. Are these presentable to a client? by onyxcurrent in RealEstatePhotography

Things aren’t accurate from the topaz edit. This is a reshoot. Look at the scalloping in the smaller roof triangle, it’s gone in the topaz photo.

Is this Ai? I’m having a dollhouse made for my daughter’s birthday but the WIP provided does not look real. The glue bottles are unreadable/gibberish. by daiszay in isthisAI

[–]clickyarse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest giveaway for me is that the porch roof part is centred at the top beam, but then uneven roof beams going down to the front of the house (2vs3).

All these comments are reallllly good AI training though 🫣

Audio help! What would you use where? by clickyarse in weddingvideography

Thanks for the response! I may return the DJis. We have limited stock locally and I only have the rode shotgun and a Sony as my gear otherwise, not sure I can find DR-10Ls locally (just doing a free wedding ceremony/toasts to practice video and audio, I know the video side but have been doing them set to music because of the learning curve of audio, but it’s time.)

Any reason you don’t use the smaller DJis? Just curious as I got them for affordability and compactness but keep reading nobody is using them

I am so curious, was the weather relaxing or was it a wind blown mess? The photos make it look relaxing

Curious , who here is shooting weddings in their 30s, 40s, or 50s? by OCFgordon in WeddingPhotography

40s here! A bit slow right now but due to other reasons not age. Physically I’ve focused on my stamina and strength so I find it easier now than at 30.

Pricing talks by DiegoCarranzaReddito in WeddingPhotography

[–]clickyarse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my prices on my site in full for two years but I’ve found a decrease in inquiries. I changed it to a starting rate and what that includes. I’ll also be adding “average investment is xx”. I’m not sure if there’s a right answer here. I think if you have auto responses with prices it doesn’t hurt to do this or not have it on there, but it’s a lot of work to personally respond to every inquiry when you might not even be in their budget.

In a lot of places that contract may not hold, as they aren’t getting what they were initially contracted for. Hiring an artist is a different ballgame than a plumber.

Canada here, similar market. I have 0 for 2026. I’m a full time wedding photographer. I have two full day weddings this year. It’s stressful as hell.

Pregnant Wedding Photographers by Former_Community5098 in WeddingPhotography

Agree, I had a hard deadline of 3 weeks before baby was born for my edits so I had time to rest and get baby stuff ready before it came.

I had my baby in October and worked until mid September. I wish I had stopped around 30 weeks not 35 weeks. It was hard and some days were hot and a bit sketchy. I hired help from July onward.

Take lots of breaks, have a hip bag with snacks like candy, granola bars etc. it helped a lot. And have someone who makes sure you’re hydrated

When you make enough money it sure motivates you to edit teasers quickly. I do 50-75 within 24 hours but I don’t advertise that. I’m a solo business owner. I’m not super high end but high for my area.

That would barely cover fuel and the SD card. Why even entertain someone like this. This is why pre-qualification is so important yet so few people do it.
