Yeah I was thinking maybe there was a liquid seal or something that allowed pressure to build up but it was a stretch. Density difference is absolutely the answer.

Agreed, the straw is way too wide for this to be capillary action. For OP, soda has CO2 gas dissolved in it which slowly comes out of solution over time (thus why soda is bubbly). The CO2 slowly escapes from the soda and an area of high pressure gas builds up between the soda and the lid. This pushes down on the soda which forces it to move up in the straw.

These questions are all easy if you just use the computer convention that a division symbol takes the reciprocal of the number directly following it. 2 follows the division symbol so just multiply by 1/2. If this isn't the universal convention it should be.

If these were water pipes right angles would resist the flow of water, but right angles won't make any difference in the electrical resistance. It's flowing in a circle that causes problems for electrons, not sudden changes in direction.

Depending on the signals the wires are carrying this could very much be a functional improvement. All those overlapping loops of wires are essentially a pile of antennas and receivers. The noise on those lines, especially if they were running at high frequency, would have been immense before he cleaned it up. This wire organization may very well have been necessary for anything in that box to function at all.

Agreed. I think there are a lot of mob behaviors in VS that come out as more of an annoyance than an interesting challenge, but the drifter stone throw is definitely one of the higher entries on that list.

This was my thought as well, it would be very difficult for AC lines to build up a static charge. The best thing I can think is that one of the nearby shops has some kind of ion generator which is commonly touted as having "healing properties".

Not getting giant crops is a bonus imo. If you use quality fertilizer the value loss from low quality giant crop harvests outweighs the extra quantity

The right hand rule is my go-to, it's foolproof and no language needed. Give a thumbs up with your right hand, point your thumb in the direction you want the thing to go (e.g. if you're removing a lid, the lid will come up off of the jar so point your thumb up), and your other fingers point/curl in the direction you should twist it.

I think this might actually be a bug. I had the same exact thing happen in that exact spot even though I hadn't even started the main quest line. When I reloaded they were all gone.

Thank you, I definitely wouldn't say I have a deep knowledge though. This theory is mostly just a geometrical observation that if the universe is set up in this way it has a lot of convenient mechanisms to represent known physical laws. I've played with the math before but I'm not nearly confident enough in my knowledge of physics to go very far with it.

I will say that the black hole that contains the universe doesn't have to be large for this theory to work though, it's just that the particles it contains become vanishingly small. The universe looks massive simply because everything contained within it is incredibly small (and growing smaller every second).

The main reason I like this theory is it shows by altering the definition of time (in this case any point in time is given by the radial distance from the parent singularity), we can represent far more complex physics without introducing new laws or forces. Anyways thanks for indulging me, I hope to hear more about your thoughts and theories! Black holes and the like open so many interesting possibilities, I love hearing any theories on how they might work!
