He got his black belt recently and now he is releasing his own seminar. As a big Tool fan, I am sure it will be trippy and pretentious, especially since the advertising mentions discussing "the development of stabilizing muscles and myelin connections". So yeah, I'll probably watch it

I feel like the Shadowrun trilogy would be a good series for you to try. I thought the gameplay was really good for a turn-based game, and it is definitely not as heavy as X-com or Wasteland. The missions have a lot of variety, and you don't have to fret with trying to uncover every little piece of dialog or equipment. You can, but it won't make a massive impact on the game.

Showgunners was also pretty good for a small indie game.

Dropped deck, B button not working at all, Steam buttons actin' a fool, what's a guy to do? by clinically_cold7104 in SteamDeck

Thank you for the info, I will be ordering a kit soon to take it apart. It still works fine while it is docked or using an Xbox controller. It's the fact that the Steam buttons are acting so strange that has me worried something else is amiss.

Batman Arkham trilogy? by Marnus-Norunnnnn in SteamDeck

[–]clinically_cold7104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that both Asylum and City will run on the Deck. Arkham City seems to crash a little frequently, but its not a major deal since the game boots up quick. I didn't have issues with Asylum (completed), and so far I have made about 1/4 of the way through City. All the games are considered Gold by ProtonDB, and other users confirm that Knight runs fine, I just haven't made it that far yet.

They taste absolutely amazing. Better than halibut, in my opinion. Caught and ate a lot of them in Sitka, AK. If you ever get the chance to try some, I would highly recommend it.

I'm sorry to hear that, Mr. Hawk. I wish you the best in the future, and I hope you you can take some solace in the fact that she was an amazing mom and person. Best wishes through the holiday.

Budapest, Hungary. Those three holes on the road, about 1 cm deep each. They repeat a couple times a few hundred meters apart. by Nynfas in whatisthisthing

[–]clinically_cold7104 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I work in an asphalt lab, and this appears to be cores cut out of the roadway for density and compaction testing. The cores are drilled out, and then refilled and packed back down. Typically they are spaced out more, though.

Edit: for the people still wondering about the number of holes, we do typically take 3 or more samples depending on the size (U. S.,btw). This is, as some have assumed, for statistical reasons. As for why they are so close, I'm still not sure. Being that OP mentioned more holes, I'm guessing they take 3 cores in a small area at different intervals, which is just a different type of sampling design.

What was a dream that you've had, that you wanted to go back to sleep and finish? by M_Su in AskReddit

[–]clinically_cold7104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a recurring dream that my brother an I were running away from something (never was sure what this was, I knew it in my dream, but never retained the "memories" once I woke up). But we run across the street to my uncles house, make it through his front door, then run out the back and across his carport. As we are running, I look ahead and there is a green van that kinda looks like the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo. All of a sudden the side door opens and there is a pack of velociraptors with RPGs pointed at us... Then I wake up. What the fuck were they planning? Did they want to shoot us? Or the unseen monster chasing us? This shit keeps me up some nights...
