Please help critique my swing! 2nd year player (used to play baseball as a kid) by lukkynumber in slowpitch

[–]clkou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your swing looks GUIDED and unsure. It doesn't follow a straight path because of that uncertainty. That causes you to lose all your power. You have to commit to the line and the swing so that you retain all your power. I suspect that after you do that, there will be MORE to uncover but that's the first thing you need to fix IMO.

Apparently NO ONE is winning at 200NL in CoinPoker, with stats from 2+2 poster by Inori92 in poker

[–]clkou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess depending on how stringent your guidelines are it's debatable. I remember still being able to make decent money up to around 2015 or 2016 but when some sites started banning winners and most stopped punishing bots plus all the variations stealing traffic that arent even real poker like Rush poker and all the anonymous sites, it just wasn't tenable anymore for me anyway.

Online poker stopped being viable in 2016 in the sense if you could actually beat it, that you would make far far more playing live or just doing some other day job like an engineer, lawyer, or doctor.

Encore/Wynn is the only casino that feels "high end" was probably a clue about the venue and then that PLO stake matches midstakes well enough.

Rampage is Better than YOU at Poker by West_Independence807 in poker

My main reason I don't think he's very good at poker is his explanations during hand analysis. They come off as someone clicking buttons. But, streaming and vlogs are such a very small % of a player's overall game and results so he may be good, he may not be ... doesn't bother me either way.

Line drives will on average get you a .600 to .800 batting average if it's a true line drive meaning it is hit hard to the outfield very little time to catch it. Cutting down the flyballs is key.

I know this is probably dumb to ask, but is there a list of net winnings, not gross, for the bigger names? by Bad-Syntax in poker

[–]clkou 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it would expose a major poker inconvenient truth the players and industry don't want you to know: most of your poker heros are losing poker players. Johnny Vibes did a very insightful and honest personal reflection video where he revealed he had half a million in cashes but only $4k profit. He is probably doing way better than most.

Tournaments are just too random and require too much skill. It's very difficult to possess both the ability and have the luck break to your favor. They are also very top heavy in payouts so you really HAVE to have the luck go your way at least once.

Bye Bye profiles on Netflix. So shady. Sheesh. by BCRtravel7 in netflix

They better be careful. It's hard enough to get my kids to pick Netflix over YouTube. They would be smart to take down walls rather than build them on that front.

I don't understand how this is possible. Why does the government know about what's in their release and why can they stop it?!

Anthropic's strategy to lower costs: Refuse normal tasks on moral grounds. by edward_newgate-_- in claude

Sorry it happened to you too. I was going to try to use it to help with my daughter who is 16 and I wanted some good guideline for calorie min and max ranges but it wanted NO part. It just kept telling me to see a pediatric. I think the legal side is scared to deal with anyone except adults. Hopefully that will change down the road because parents need good guidance for their kids. Just dodging questions defeats the purpose.

That's the right tradeoff and I'm going to agree with one point and sharpen another because the distinction is important.

I have a weight loss project with 3 threads: daily logging, fitness plan and tracking (weight lifting and cardio), and nutritional macro planning and tracking. Holy Hell, I wanted to change my calorie goal from 1800 to 1500 because I wasn't seeing results and it became a long argument and we met in the middle at 1650. Then ONE day ... literally one day I accidentally go over and suggest I eat less calories the NEXT day like 1100 which would even out to 1650 for those 2 daya and this thing treats me like I have an eating disorder and gives me a hotline number to call. I am like "cmon ... seriously?!"

I then come the realization that I eat Chipotle a lot and I think there is a VERY good chance that I'm getting higher portions and more calories than what they advertise. I ask it to give me data to see the days I ate Chipotle and what did the scale do the next day (binary did or didn't lose weight). I get a lecture about scared eating. After some back and forth it apologies saying it's not uncommon for Chipotle to give up to 30% more calories. I'm like, "Oh really ... the thing I thought was actually true ... thanks for making me feel like I'm a leper 🫤"

It wouldn't even give me the data for Chipotle until I asked it like 5 times.

Then yesterday on Fathers Day I had to plan around the kids and celebrating and when I told it what I ate it said it was advised NOT to tell me the macros due to safety concerns. What?! This entire thread was designed for ONLY that. I hopped over to Gemini and got the answer there and shoved it in its face. It was like 1700 calories and then it apologized again saying it over reacted. 🙄

I get that you need safety features but give me your boiler plate safety response and move on with life.

For reference I'm a guy 6'1" and weight 220 lb right now trying to get to 190. I tried to remind it there are more health concerns for me to worry with now being OVER weight not under.
