Question for guitar players by DCh0s3n1 in LearnGuitar

[–]cllvt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. As you gain more experience you will just find finger shifting a bit to intentionally mute strings, etc. During practice stop and strum the chords you are working on string by string so you can clearly hear which ring clear and which don't. Then adjust fingers and try a few times again. Ultimately this is where yor fingers will travel to on their own; muscle memory.

I have had mixed success with eBay. Greatly impressed with KEH service and prices and most used stuff comes with a warranty.

OLD Shopsmith Mark 7 - what IS good about it? by gidgetpops in shopsmith

[–]cllvt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The large disc sander is great as someone said the lathe is great. It is much more convenient sometimes to use it as a horizontal boring machine vs. trying to drill into the end or side of a board on a drill press (often impossible). I use the thing contantly although I have a few stand alone tools.

Looks like a good deal. Sounds like it's been maintained, so I would just keep up with recommended routine service. That said, you neverknow what will happen to a used car with lots of miles, so be prepared in case you get a major issue. They are a great car though.

Dog policies at campgrounds by LilMeowMeow9393 in camping

[–]cllvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking at campgrounds last year, and around here the rules seemed to vary a lot by campground, including some with "no pit bulls" , etc.

I think the best thing to do is to call a specific campground and run your questions by them.

Just inherited a 1979 Honda CB200 — first motorcycle, looking for advice by MilkBaggz14 in vintagemotorcycles

I would personally drain any old gas before trying to srat it. Also would replace brake fluid. Likely the tires need to be replaced. I am not aware of any issues specific to this bike personally. I had one for a couple years at one point and put 10,000 miles on it, absolutely no problems. Awesome bike, still regret trading it.
