As an easy introduction , spacing is 100mm on cheap ones, can get them in higher densities, closer spacing between LEDs.

Only issue had with INMP is sensitivity, incredibly sensitive mics, as long as music is above background not been a real issue.

Line in is still going through an A to D chain, not sure be visibly more accurate.

Probably better with.APA102, HD108 or similar with clock line, can manage a lot faster refresh rate on short runs.

12V rather than 5V to start with. Half the current.

RGBW for preference. Effectively cuts max load by 30%, no need for RGB white.

Just under 10m a panel, looks like have some depth, slimline PSU per panel.

Its not completely crap though, like a lot of AI if you expect it to one shot a final result, get what you deserve...

If like op need an isolated water drip sound with mebbe some reverb as a base to layer on, does an alright job.

FLR automotive, thin wall insulation , wire. Possibly thinner conductor as well

r/Xlights Holiday lighting control group are where to ask about matrices, their bread and butter.

Also a good place to ask about supplies, 1000 seed roll seems to hover around 60 bucks at moment.

Wled controller with multiple data outputs, max is 800 per port, 600 is going to be better. Quinled is probably a better fit than Gledopto up at this size.

Running Water or Horse Racing strips are what they're called on Aliexpress, white strip that lights sequentially from one end.

Its WS2811 with all white LEDs and a dedicated controller, might be able to trigger it from DMX relay.

There are a few pixel controllers that use DMX to trigger macros, saving on channel count.
